I have just read the interview with Paul Warne in the star ahead of the clash with evans and I think it is an awful interview that makes him come across as scared and weak. He also uses statements like I hope we can perform, these are weak soft words and will hardly inspire the players. He did the same against Rochdale, talked them up so much we bottled it, come on Warne lead from the front, be strong. Evans will love that interview, he will tell his players they are better than us, that we are scared, he will tell them stories about how our manager used to run around after him, he is a bully and football management needs some degrees of that approach at certain times. Friday will be a war on the pitch, and around the pitch and Warne needs to step forward and be the leader, be smart, have a plan A, B and C because evans is one dimensional so be smart. People say this game isn't a must win game, from the table point of view I agree but from a confidence point of view for players and manager it is a must play very well game and a not lose game.
I want Warne to do well, he has proven me wrong so far this season, don't bottle it now Warne, a bad run in the last 12 games will not help next season and teams tend to start a season like they finish the last, time for it to be a real battle.
Just studied the league table and before people start I want Rotherham to win the champions league. But more realistically - the league we're in matters.
The battle of and comparison of the managers is perfectly reasonable and from where I'm sat I say the nice Mr Warn and the aggressive Mr Evans and the difference is obvious to all.
Now - all the things I ( we ) benefitted from during EVO's tenure at Rotherham is behind Peterborough and I bet the players love it lol.
So......
Peterborough are just outside the play-offs when we have been comfortable - well within the play-offs for a good while.....
The managers make a massive difference now - at squeaky bum time and as a purely football comparison I will be watching just where the two team end up.
The match ended tragically ( for us ) at 1-1 and the teams didn't show much difference in quality - both not great in all departments.
So for me - from now on PW will have to win his Spurs because from this position the end game is between PW & EVO....
Interesting !

What rubbish. We were miles better and PW looked calm and assured whilst SE and PR looked like raging baboons bouncing up and down on the sidelines, screaming at the officials and abusing his own players constantly. I'm glad we no longer have to see that and he's become unhinged in his desperate bid to try and get noticed. He will never get that Celtic job.
Oh dear Bornamiller. Your constant attempts to criticise Warne are making you look silly. At times you attack him directly. When we play well you can hardly bring yourself to acknowledge it, instead preferring to say that the opposition is weak or (as you have done here) to focus on minor negatives or lay traps for the future.
NY is dead right. We outplayed Peterborough and anyone with half a brain could see it. Every single post I have seen on their own message board acknowledges it. We wasted chances and paid for it, but we murdered them. Warne was classy. Evans looked an oaf. Thank goodness he isn't representing us any more like he represented them on Friday. I do not envy Peterborough one iota.
The rest of the season is about how we can do and whether we can finish top six. It is about the players. Of course managers have their part to play, but it is not about Evans v Warne in any significant way at all. Not in anybody's mind but yours.

Thought Friday we played well enough. If we had a goalscorer we'd have took them. Warney I can't think of an alternative at the moment. I'm willing to give him another transfer window. Get all the players out no use to us & strengthen us.
Personally I am interested / intreagued with the two styles of management - and as I said - both teams were well away from the finished article therefore ( in my opinion ) this allows the manager to make THE difference.
As I said - this aspect is interesting !
Not going to write war and peace about why it's "interesting" as anyone with half a brain will acknowledge they'll keep a north eye on Peterborough to see what EVO will or won't do for them.
I also think your analysis of my post is wrong - not knocking anything Rotherham United...but I feel you are a tad over protectionist -

I am sorry saying it isn't about the manager is a stupid comment. If the manager wasn't crucial to the performamce of a team, then why have one?
It is about the whole club, the mentality, the drive, the passion, the desire and most importantly the belief at crucial times and against Peterborough at the crucial time when the 4th official held up 6 mins, the whole Rotherham side of the stadium lost the belief and panic set in
I am sorry this squad is a confidence squad and at the moment they look like a squad who don't belief and teh managers interviews are not exactly churchillian are they
No - at at these times the manager earns his corn!
The main difference ( for me ) is that EVO is so selfish. His ambition - His results - His plaudits: And no snotty nosed frilly footballers is gonna spoil it - IF they show signs of weakness IF they miss a tackle or don't follow the game plan they are in for a roasting and Bury beckons.
I like that to be fair.
The team is a product - but Evo's career comes first and last and he wants to win for selfish reasons.
The difference in the two is obvious - BUT it's precisely at times like this when apprentices as managers haven't got the tools of the trade - it takes years of failure / losses to get that attitude and knowledge of what to do and say in those 40 minutes locked in the dressing room.
And Evo's players know they will be sacrificed on the alter of Evo's ambition - and I suspect PW or RB for that matter don't have the gravitas to pull off a speech refering to fighting on the beaches.
That the main reason I didn't want a rookie yes man in the job.
Time will tell....
