We've got no Right back good enough, no real wingers so 3-5-2 best option.

Rodak

Ihiewke Ajayi Wood

Forde Palmer Vaulks Towell Mattock

Taylor Smith

Bench Bilboe Emmanuel Purrington or Hinds Williams Wiles Newell Ball

I don't see a future in playing Price, ***mings, Yates or Lavery

Out of the two teams - at this time - with the players we have - and they have.....we're fooooked...lol

Got to protect that "D" and sit 3 holding midfielders with Vaulks in the centre to attack the high ball....the other two skirmishes - breaking down anything and everything within the width of that penalty area....force them wide and stop crosses.

Outball to Williams and Taylor out wide to carry to Smith running channels with their support.

IF we get the opportunity to commit - only one holding midfielder to go support the odd attack. We've  been over committed and suffered from it. Constant block of 4 in contact - then at least they'll have to fight their way through and not have acres of space like Southend.

They'll come for us so let's do them on the brake but Smith / whoever needs to be clinical. Keep Yates at Rawmarsh....waste of an affective player imo.

Fantasy over...lol

Come on MILLERS....SHOOT ON SIGHT !

Two lines of four and Ball playing in between midfield and Smith.

Rodak
Emmanuel, Vaulks, Wood, Mattock
Williams, Palmer, Towell, Newell
Smith, Ball

Let Taylor off the leash if needed

Agreed HM.

No applause for Evans, no booing of Evans either. Ignore Evans. It isn't about him at all. Just about us getting behind our team, beating the opposition if we can, getting a point if we can't win, and getting a step closer to the play-offs.

Said this before they moved Vaulks into defence. Towell & Palmer were's holding midfield player there? Williams & Newell too lightweight. Not Forde's biggest fan but at least he'll cover his full back.

For what EVO did for us - I'm going to cheer him and why he left - I don't know but the argument that he said "back me in the championship" or I'm gone rings true - as NR - AS & KJ had comical budgets for the championship.

They were scorned for buying rubbish REALLY ?

What manager would buy from the basement bargain shops with a Harrods budget NO ONE!

They bought to suit the budget and set the tactics to suit the players that budget bought!

And I can see EVO saying with that budget I'm history.

Just supposition but I wonder how far he'll take Peterborough.....Friday is interesting on a few levels...looking forward to it.

Palmer.  Quite capable of holding in midfield.  Good positional sense and distribution and reads the game well.  I don't see the problem.

Part of Evans' problem was that he had already signed twelve players that pre-season before he realised about five games in that most of what he had signed was actually garbage, and said he needed half a dozen more.  Who was to blame for that?  We didn't have a lot of money and it was all the more important that we invested wisely.  Evans wasted much of what we had.

Good manager or not, people like Evans deserve no adulation.

We will still be above them whatever the result on Friday.  If we win that does not automatically make Warne a better manager than Evans and vice versa.

There is nothing that would make me ever want Evans back, precisely because of what is on his CV.  It is probably only in football that he would get another job with his record.  You could guarantee successive promotions and a Champions League spot in three years and I would tell you to keep it.  Warne may or may not prove to be a better manager than Evans, but I would take him over Evans every single day of the week regardless.  From that point of view, Friday and indeed every other day is completely irrelevant.

You are trying to turn Friday into Evans v Warne.  It isn't.  No doubt if Posh win you will be crowing about it on here. No doubt if we win it will be because League One is dire.  Very sad.
