Shrimpers v Millers - Match Predictions

Agree Johno no more. Play Taylor up front with Smith. JT he's direct. Not a winger.

Don't think it gives us the edge at all.

With our "after you sir" defenders like Semi - who is a multiple offender btw and EVO's good quality attack who have speed and a modi*** of brain power.

Now add that to being turbo charged by EVO's pre match motivational speeches and red necked aggression compared to our "come on boys" - I fear for this game because I think we may be caught cold and over run.

Looking forward to see the two management techniques.

Don't think PW has a rant in him - RB might have though - Good guy Bad guy stuff.

Must win - not only for the points but to establish Warnsey and his "good people" attitude - ok at amateur level but this is a professional game we're playing.

They are eight points behind us with a handful of games left.  A draw suits us more than it suits them.  The onus is on them to try and win it which may play into our hands a bit.  To suggest that this game is 'must win' for us is nonsense.

Evans used to talk about having no 'bad apples' in the changing room.  How is that different from Warne talking about having good characters in the group?

If you think that good management these days is about vein-popping rants by way of motivation, you are mistaken and need to think again.  Your dismissive attitude towards Warne (describing him as a yes-man, an amateur etc) is utterly disrespectful and ignores the fact that he has done a lot of good things this season.

The outcome of this match will not determine whether or not Warne is a better manager than Evans.  And the game isn't about that, however much you would like it to be.

You are clearly hoping for a Peterborough win so that you can use it to further your anti-Warne agenda.  Let me be clear where I stand on it.  After the game we will still be above Peterborough, Evans will still be the man he is and will have the history he has, I will still be glad that he isn't at the head of my club any longer, and Paul Warne will still have done a good job this season.  Nothing that can happen on Friday can or will change any of that.

for gods sake enough on jch he has gone and for whatever reasons didnt do enough on the pitch or behind the scenes to warrant a first team place

rumor has it he wanted out anyway to go back to the Birmingham area anyway so t71 please shut up

3 losses out of the last 4 have been a wake up call.

we need to start the match friday and be at peterborough throats from the whistle do not give them the chance to do what rochdale, mk and southend did press us stop us playing our game. cos evans will have that game plan

Also I think semi needs dropping and give ithiewe a chance he was at fault for both goals also instead of kicking it to touch on the kick off pass it back let our players get up the pitch first for a change

3 4 3 would be my formation hope lavery fit although yates did stretch them when he came on

Hear, Hear.....

We need to be at their throats from the off .... I think they'll come out of that tunnel snarling.

A must win....has that ever been realy a true statement BUT....

For PW's sake - a must win
For TS's sake - a must win
For seasons sake - a must win
For squeaky bums time - a must win
And more importantly....

For my heart rate - a must win..lol and that's what concerns me the most. But a cracking atmosphere should be created by two teams thinking it's a must win....if they don't think that the managers not doing his job!

It is not a must win game.  It is a game that we should try to win.  If we win it will set us up really well.  If we win they will be 11 points behind us with 7 to play and they probably wouldn't be able to catch us.  But it is not a must win game.

You are trying to set it up as a must win game so that you can beat Warne up if we don't win it.

I'll say it again.  After the game we will still be above Peterborough, Evans will still be the man he is and will have the history he has, I will still be glad that he isn't at the head of my club any longer, and Paul Warne will still have done a good job this season.  Nothing that can happen on Friday can or will change any of that.

Just watched extended highlights. This is going to sound ****eyed, Price did well but wouldn't give him another contract. He's not to be relied on to be available. Emmanuel wasn't at his game but what can we do apart from play with wing backs. I've said this before play Taylor up front with Smith. He scored goals before he came here. We've never played him right, he's not a winger.

T71 - what is it that makes you think that Price might not be available?

Evans will be desperate to win the game against us. After all he jumped ship at Mansfield to join another team hoping that they could gain promotion through the League 1 play-offs. We must ensure that we don't lose on Friday. A draw could temporarily puncture Evo's ego and by Jove he needs it even though an imploding Evo might not be a pretty sight.

Our players need to keep calm and get back to playing to their strengths.

Forward with the Millers!

Check while he's been here. He's been unavailable more than he's been available. Don't think he's that good anyway. We want a keeper ready to play when called on.
