I couldn't get to the match (saw highlights) but I agree that the third goal was a sublime piece of footballing teamwork.

Don't want to spoil the Warney love in but Johno is playing well for Coventry. He scored with a left foot shot though it was called an own goal. It had beat goalkeeper. Watch it if you don't believe me. Nobody will convince me any of our current strikers are better than JCH.

Since nobody will convince you, it isn't worth trying is it?  Do we have to go round these houses again?  He seems to be getting amongst the goals at Coventry.  Three so far.  That is nearly half as many for them in five games as he got for us in seventy or so.  Maybe he has found his level.  Pleased for him if that is the case.

After a dominant away win with good football played and both strikers on the scoresheet, it is a shame that your two subsequent posts again refer to 'Warneys Boys' after he had the courage to make five changes, and to a forward player who doesn't play for us any more.

Smiler - just a thought that giving Warne the praise for changing 5 players is one thing ok BUT *******ing Warne for NOT playing those players against the two bottom of the league teams cost us six points.....closing the gate after the horse has bolted ?

 I don't think so.

When a group of players had gone fourteen unbeaten including the last several in a row straight wins, I don't think you could blame the manager for picking those same players against Rochdale.  After the poor performance against them he made two or three changes for the MK Dons game and after that poor performance made further changes for Northampton, including dropping those who were given a chance and didn't take it.

If he had made wholesale changes for the Rochdale game and we had  lost it he would have been slaughtered for it.

It is easy to be wise after the event - much more difficult to be the one calling it before kick-off.  I think when you look at what he did and when, his decision making is difficult to argue with.

Smiler, you have the patience of a Saint and I admire your patience in responding to such repetitive drivel. Some members of this board will never be happy until we are languishing alongside Orient, having re-signed JCH and Blackstock, sold our stock of Warney's Boys T-Shirts, moved back to Millmoor and enticed Alan Stubbs to rejoin us on an endless contract! Keep up the good work mate!

I don't why he bothers answering as they are clearly on a wind up.

I don't think they are NY. I think they believe every word they post.

If it is a wind up, then ignoring it is a fair tactic, but responding calmly is another.

Keep posting gents.

Nice work by Donny tonight beating Bradford. City seem to be fading towards mid-table obscurity. Strange to think that they were neck and neck with us when we beat them only a few weeks ago. Charlton likewise. The challengers are all fading away a bit one by one. I noticed that Peterborough have five away games left and they are at (in order) us, Plymouth, Blackburn, Shrewsbury and Portsmouth. I hope I won't regret saying this but nine points looks a big gap for them with those fixtures to come.

The wind up merchants on both boards are potential multi's on multiple sites...same rhetoric same mindset but who's right and who's wrong....my take on the self rightous brigade is that no one opinion is 100% right - but a blend of all sides.

But some can't abide different views - it's why wars start and the human race is so flawed.

Give it a rest - for all our sakes....it's about opinions !

very true but this is just a simple football forum where opinions are welcome

but what truly anoys me is when the multi start using their varied persona to agree with their original post or post a comment thats at a tangent to the original post

I'm not in anyone's stable. I'm my own man. I was gwru on MM. I joined MB near enough when it started, don't ask me why I came up with T71. I've tried to change my user name to gwru on here but not found out how. So anybody who can tell me how would be much obliged.

In reply to Smiler. I enjoyed Donny game last night, Fergie jnr got them set up right. I thought they were one of the better sides seen at the New York this season. JCH: I don't know if he's the same player. I like that he's direct, something our forwards aren't. Now he's playing, getting match fit there's a chance someone could have player who could play at a decent level.

Regards our side I want us to be right for the play-offs. Not much different we can do with the players we have at our disposal. Definitely want Purrington on the bench. We have proper left backs, play them. Like us to be in the championship next season then we can offer Vaulks a new contract & there's a possibility we could sign Towell. Would be quite some rebuilding of the squad needed for the championship.

As for me - can't understand why potential flaws can't be aired without rebuke....on MM it's either all love something or all hate something no grey areas and the cliques on there have removed / barred / put off many posters due to this attitude of the few ( and fewer ) lol.

Read comments on here with far more interest as posters know how to write and put an argument together.

Stating opinions are there to have counter arguments made to try and win the point in question. This has been done with some success as far as I'm concerned. Some of my points have been countered and I have read counter arguments that have been well made and accepted. That's why I post on this site and not the MM comic anymore - it's political / sexist and cliques rule....condoned and aided by the so called mods. I'm not a multi....haven’t the time or patience to mess around like that....just thinking out loud - so to speak....not saying my word is gospel but adding to the chat....if MM traits starting to show then that would be a shame.

PS:

"or post a comment thats at a tangent to the original post"

Isn't this just individuals widening the conversation ( as they see it ) not a hanging offence but I have read similar tangential posts only to see the point of why it was posted. We all see different football matches / players etc. That's the funny bit tbf....

There's a guy that constantly shouts out loud his commentary - and his referee's abuse and many around us think he must be watching another match on a tablet or whatever - but he's funny with it - thank God.

It's football and it all creates an atmosphere.
