Time wasting is part of the game and game management. We do it, everyone do. In fact last couple of years I've lost count how many times I've shouted out game management at the end of a half. The trick is to do it just inside the rules, and its up to the ref to decide what is and what isn't, simply by adding on time. Anybody including us deserve to get punished with late goals if we do it, that's the flip side, but mostly it will protect what you've got.
If Donny wanna do that to such an extent so be it, and I'd want us to do it if we were in the play offs etc. Right now Warney was right, go for it - what have we got to lose?
Ex - I agree it's part of game management but I thought Donny's time wasting yesterday was extreme. They weren't particularly lively before they scored, but after the 39th minute, every opportunity was used to run the clock down. In normal cir***stances, you would expect the opposition, being one up, to run the clock down with about 20 minutes to go. But to do it for almost two thirds of the game suggests that they lacked confidence and were very concerned about giving Rotherham a chance. As we all know, it came back to haunt them big-style yesterday. However, if they had played a sensible game plan yesterday and kept pumping the ball up to our nervous defence, chances are they might have come away with all three points. Absolute naivety on Fergusson's part I suggest.
all i can they can they got their just desserts and i am now 20 quid the richer as the Donny fan has paid up not gracefully at all said we was lucky i just laughed at said is that the time 13 mins past 7
