"Fergie" was instructing his players to slow down - stay down after tackles and the ref had no choice but to deal with them.

Full house and sent home IN THE BEST SCENARIO the marketing men could have concocted.

We'll done !

They were slowing the game down from the first minute. After they scored the time wasting reached epic proportions. Obviously no issue with the genuine injuries and hope the two players are ok, but the keeper was taking the mick and just as at the Keepmoat the Lord Mayor of Doncaster aka Coppinger milked every second out of his substitution. I'm sure we do the same at times, but it still felt very very sweet indeed when we took advantage of the extra time to turn them over!

Thought Mattock was the pick of our defenders. Vaulks & Towell did there jobs. Forde lost ball a couple of times giving them the advantage but going forward decent. Newell started & finished the game well. Smith looking good. Not sure about Ball or Lavery. Footnote Johno scored again. Baffling why he wasn't given a chance here.

Jordan Bowery got 2 and Paul Green 1 for Crewe at Lincoln today. Let's get em both back - why were they never given a chance at NYS?

Initially thought the pen was harsh, but wow well done Ref - spotted the keeper look at Smith before contact was made, had he not done that I don't think it would have been one, can't give a pen when you're going for the ball and get blind sided like that. As for their goal, someone needs a word with Ajayi - that was a horrific error, this is not schoolboy football!

He still has those silly mistakes in the locker when pressed. First time clearance is very forgivable under these cir***stances - he has to learn the emergency "outball" is the opponents corner flag keeping it in or out but AWAY!

Totally agree there's still a place for hoofing it, you certainly don't try and take a man on as the last defender - I'd have his wages for that - totally stupid and it has gotta stop

JCH scored a penalty.  Well done to him.

The idea that he wasn't given a chance here is a joke.

Can we have a 'Johno Watch' as a Sticky?

Don’t you love the karma. In both games Donny’s ‘gamesmanship’ of trying to slow the game down came back to bit them. I also thought it was sweet justice that their keeper gave away a needless penalty after all his time wasting. I’m off to read fergie and the donny fans forums. Was it all, poor ref/too much added time Hope the 2 injured donny players are ok the first one looked serious ...

Pleased for Johno. Don't know how it will go for him. He's got to knuckle down but he's direct & he's not slow. Think he's maturing. If you look back when we played Bradford away in the checkatrade, pen he took. He didn't blast it just stroked it beautifully with that wand of a left foot he's got. Same yesterday, placed it with power. Loved his celebration afterwards. Who we got if anything happens to Smith? Our one weakness yesterday was up front, Ball is not direct or quick. Lavery doesn't look a Roth' type player to me. Thoughts.

For the last time the stats speak a thousands words Ball and Smith have scored more goals per starts than jch ever did The guy may have ability and in your opinion expressed countless times we get it. But Warne Warnock/Blackwell Redfern didn't think he was good enough and when he was given chances he didn't take them. Glad he doing well at Coventry but he is history now.. We are a team scoring goals . Yes I wish ball would get more in the net and he is thinking same. Remember the two he scored at Blackpool that started this run and the last minute one. V Oxford

Ps it was fabulous to watch v fergie jnr caper on the touchline very funny questioned the extra time. Said our first goal was a foul that's rich from his team hugging Smith all time Got everything they deserved lol not a great game but the result what's counts

T71 - regarding your comment about Lavery not being a Rotherham type player - take a look at the build up to the penalty. Lavery covered 50 yards, caught the right back showing great speed and determination, robbed him of the ball and then his attempted cross\shot led to Smith being brought down by the Donny keeper. That is Rotherham personified. Not sure what else you could have asked from him during his short cameo appearance?

Constructive reply, not dismissive. Don't know what I want. Just want us to be the best we can.

I'll only be dismissive when I consider you're either attention seeking or talking about issues which have no bearing on our club - including the three letter abbreviation that shall not be mentioned!

Lavery is clearly not fit yet.  He reminds me a bit of Danny Ward when he first came on loan from Huddersfield.  You could see when he got clear yesterday before the penalty that his legs couldn't move him as fast as his brain wanted them to.  I am sure it will come with hard training and game time.  No doubt though he worked very hard to create the situation that we got the penalty from.  That will do his confidence good.

Deserved a bit of luck. Doncaster and Fergie questioning our tactics and style of play while they currently sit 14th, not 4th but 14th ha!
