Rotherham v Portsmouth - Match Predictions

Will Kenny Jackett be given a warm welcome by the Millers' faithful before kick off? We shall see.

I never thought for one minute that the Warne Jackett combination would ever have worked out down at NYS. You know the rest. The Jackett walked.

Moving forward to Saturday afternoon my guess is that this will be another tight game.

Three players who may cause us the most problems are former Miller's  player Gareth Evans, aged 30, who may start for

Pompey on the wing, Brett Pitman, aged 29, striker  always a danger and Nathan Thompson, aged 27, defence/midfield.

Having mentioned the three amigos above I reckon we have enough class in our team to sink Pompey.

Millers to win by at least 2-1.

Keep the faith.

I'll simply base my prediction on the law of averages and gut feeling and go for a loss. 0-2, Pompey win

We looked weak at Oldham and they were dreadful. It's a defeat for me as much as that pains me to say it.

Not confident v Blackburn but we got a point....so I'll go 0 - 2 to the visitors.

Decision due to poor performances getting results can't last forever AND Mr Millwall is a half decent manager who should suss our two out.

Portsmouth are nothing special. If we play anything like, we can win this one. 3-1 to the Millers.

Can't fault the effort today...I said just before our late knock out punch that if the game was a boxing match that we'd have won on points.

Smiffy looked tidy and if fit enough needs to be brought into the squad gently - a good and positive home debut.

Smiling miller tonight - we'll done PW

Not the first time we've beaten Pompey at home with a late goal from a left back who hardly scores....anyone remember Chris Beech scoring in a 2-1 win in a televised game at Millmoor around 2002 ish?
