Proctor's Rehab

And those that have gone through similar, we will feel the blankstare of the long rehab.  Took me over 2yrs to start playing again, what really helped at the end was trampolining every week with the kids.  I'm also pretty convinced that strengthened the balance etc of the same leg ankle (which locked up causing the knee), following many bouts of rolling after ligament damage with that.  Thank you to the excellent GP who gave me a tubigrip on prescription (the ankle kept me out for 9 months prior)

Tell you one thing Proctor will never take for granted ever again, playing - each game will be like winning the lottery - he'll be that thankful. I know I am - I was utterly sure I'd never play again pushing 40.

And there is a big difference between fit and "match fit" and another gap between match fit and a threat to defences.

At Proctors age ?

But he deserves a chance - and as said above - his age will make him more alive to the fact that he is in a privileged career and should savour every minute.

Don't think I'm yet to see a player return post injury to the same level performance as before. Its so easiy done these days too & I think that needs looking into more than anything That Charlton player hardly touched him, its our ability to correct that seems to have gone for some reason. Maybe we should study cats!

A fully fit Proctor alongside a fully fit David Ball would have been a powerful strike pair in this division. It was such a shame for us and Proctor that he was injured when he was and as seriously as he was. I know what people say about players never quite being the same after this sort of injury but I think with advances in treatment and rehab as long as he isn't rushed back he should have every chance of a full recovery. Good luck to him.

I agree , I think he was class and we looked great at the beginning of the Season, although that was also with Moore.

I hope he comes back as good as before as it will be like us making a really good signing...
