I haven't seen it back but the ref utterly bottled it - the first challenge you have seen them given but the second was nailed on, had the ref not been side tracked from the first incident just a second earlier I reckon he'd have given it.

Perhaps he thought he was still playing for us and was passing back as usual.

To be honest I didn't think they were penalties. One of those - if not given for you its a bad decision but if given against you you feel robbed. I thought the ref was excellent. Blackburn were giving it the big club in the refs face treatment all game. The ref didn't have any of it, and it was noticeable how towards the end of the game players on both sides stopped diving and rolling around when they realised they were wasting their time and the physio wasn't always going to be alllowed on. Well done the ref.

Looking at Blackburns message boards they seem on the whole to think that they were much better than us and threw two points away. I'm not sure what they were watching. On balance a draw was about right but we certainly had our fair share of possession, good opportunities and and near misses. In injury time only we looked like winning it. They were spent. If anything we might have had the better of the game.

I have always liked Blackburn. I have a mate who is a season ticket holder and have been to see them with him plenty of times. But they do seem to have a bit of arrogance about them now, expecting to roll us and other league one teams over and criticising Mowbray because they are only third. I think they need to realise that they aren't really a big club any more. We've had Wigan, Shrewsbury and S****horpe to the NYS so far and all three of them were a lot more impressive than Blackburn. I am beginning to really hope that Shrewsbury carry on and get a top two spot - they are in dreamland and don't have the same feeling of entitlement which is quite refreshing.

Hillsborough Miller says "if we buy Moore all well and good but I think a more pressing issue are replacements for Potter and Frecks, Towell would be a good replacement for Frecks".

I agree we should hold on to Towell if possible but another replacement for Frecks (or Potter) could be Erhun Oztumer, the little Walsall midfielder who had a really good game against us. He was busy, seemed to be always available and laid on some lovely forward passes (not that the Walsall forwards made much use of them). After that game I googled him and found that last season he scored 15 league goals and he already has another 9 this season. One to consider?

He was the best player on the pitch at Walsall. Maybe though we already have other players in the same mould (if not perhaps as good) and need to prioritise a different sort of player.

To be fair, if it was a boxing match and you had to pick up a blue arm or a red arm I'd have picked blue up... Just
