Great End To A Torrid Year

After the torturous Championship campaign many could have been forgiven for expecting us to continue in a downward spiral. The League One campaign has had its moments - both good and bad - but 2017 has ended with 13 from 15 points (the best recent form of any team in the League) and 7th position, just 2 points out of the play-off spots.  Much praise has to go to Paul Warne who has generated a great team spirit and has shown that he has the intellect and footballing know-how to develop into a very sound manager. Against a backdrop of doubts and criticism about his fitness to manage, I hope he will go on to be as valuable to the club as a manager, as he was as a player.

Monday is going to be a very stern test with Moore returning to Ipswich and Frecks picking up a knock today. However, it would be great to see us build on our recent successes, in front of a bumper crowd, and get 2018 off to a cracking start.

Top marks to all at RUFC for restoring some pride in the shirt. Best of luck to KM wherever you end up. And finally, here's hoping PW has a great January transfer window!!

Hear Hear to your sentiments regarding Moore - but his leaving and Freck's niggle highlight our achilies heal and that is strength in depth. A few injuries and a league that anyone can beat anyone and we'll soon be concerned. We need an injection of cash - PW has deserved that.
