Remember Vaulks delivering pass of the game out to the left. What did Frecks & Towell though neat passing create? Vaulks can pass square balls all day with best of them. We had no outlet sat' with Williams lost on the left & with Moore missing. JCH got to be in for Yates this sat' coming.

We made more opportunities with ten men in the second half than we did with eleven in the first mainly through Frecklington organising things, driving the team on and moving the ball more quickly, which is what was lacking first half. What Frecklington didn't do was look for sixty yard glory passes or give it away cheaply. If you didn't see those differences you were clearly watching a different game than I was.
Williams wasn't lost. He had the beating of their left back all afternoon. That is his achilles heel whichever flank he plays on.
Agree about Frecks we looked better when he came on but Vaulks could pass ball sidewards all afternoon. We need Vaulks in midfield, he's got that something extra. Williams not the same player on the left. Play him on the right he's got a final ball.

I'm not sure how you can acknowledge that the midfield improved once we went down to ten men and Vaulks moved out of it, yet still make a case for him being first choice midfielder. That makes no sense. To be honest, when I see his name on the team sheet as a midfielder I worry about our chances. Can you help me by explaining what the 'something extra' is? Because I just don't see it.
As I've posted many times before, 'they all give 100%', it just depends on whether you bother looking or not!
I also have time for Vaulks and think there is a place in a team for players like him (Richie Smallwood, Et al?). As continually brought up, 'yes, he gives 100%', he also won 'celebration of the season' last year, there are no 'bad' players.
What I do not like is the constant slagging off of other players to try and make a case for someone's favourites.
We all have certain players that we like to see, some because of their tackling ability, some for their football brain, some for shooting power, whatever, it does not matter but, why do some posters continually knock the same players, however they play?
Forde in the last two games has done well, changing the game at Blackpool when he came on and 'giving 100% against Plymouth' (which should be all that's needed in some eyes?), yet he still gets stick................baffling really!
Forde he's had his chance. Not gone past a full back on the outside while he's been here. Get shut along with Yates, Rodak, Price, Manny, Bray & Newell. None good enough. You can't get out that's not there. You are just flogging a dead horse. Potter needs replacing, he's on early retirement with us. That's not slagging players off. It's a professional game, if you can't do the job you are paid to do you it's move on time.
I once went to watch a Sunday morning game, chap next to me said to his wife, the number 7 is ****, you watch him. For the next 80 minutes the number 7 ran the show, cracking little player. After around 85 minutes he eventually hit a bad pass, 'SEE', yelled the guy next to me to his wife, 'I told you he was ****!'
People can look at exactly the same thing and come to completely different conclusions. I guess that's football.
