If so, have a read of the new security procedures outlined at https://www.themillers.co.uk/news/2017/december/read--safety-messages-for-home-games/
The largest bag allowed will be 35x20x20cm.
Reminds me of a first day of the Ashes test at the Gabba in Brisbane which I attend in 2010. For security reasons they banned rucksacks but never told anyone in advance. As a result they ended up storing about 20,000 rucksacks in a large room at the ground with very little organisation and inevitably many of the tags attached to bags became detached, including mine. It took me 4 months to get my rucksack back and they sent me a Gabba baseball cap as compensation! Priceless!
Utterly barmy!!
I've carried a little rucksack every game I've attended with some sandwiches & a place to keep my match programme dry, now I cant take it?
We took an empty small holdall with us because we were planning to buy a big winter jacket from the club shop as a present for someone and we didn't want it stuffing in a small plastic bag in the club shop if indeed it would even fit in one. The shop is shut after the game so of course we went pre-match. We got stopped at the gate afterwards. Not allowed in with it like that. My daughter put the jacket on. We folded the bag up and took it in with us 'flat'. That was allowed. Once in she took the jacket off and we put it back in the bag. What was the point of that? Utter nonsense. Nobody checked whether or not I had a gun or knife stuffed down a sock. The cynic in me wonders whether it is about stadium security or promoting food sales by stopping Brad and like minded people taking his sandwiches in.
This is probably more for the people of Plymouth to hide their precioussss, and other goblinesque 3 eyed stuff - but I would say that living in Exeter!
I'll be taking some teabags, milk powder and a plastic beaker. I wonder if catering at NYS will oblige with some hot water? It would certainly save on the baggage issue for me.
