How much longer can we take this durge?

Warne more or less making excuses in his pre match interview, ONE shot on target even when we seemingly play 4-4-2, defeat after defeat, a head of recruitment who doesn't recruit anyone, a chairman who makes frankly idiotic statements regarding budgets etc, in short a club that is going nowhere fast with a clueless "club legend" in charge who has absolutely no idea what he is doing, no movement on infrastructure................Is anyone out there as angry as me or is everyone just apathetic & resigned to a second successive relegation? Happy clappers, it's over to you!!!

I renewed my season ticket in hope, I said when he was appointed it was insane, you don't give a top 4 budget to a man with no experience, I am sorry Tony rich men don't gamble on certain loser, you either don't have the money and are lying to us or you have lost all sense of reason. Bring in an experienced manager, let them make changes in Jan and keep us in league 1, rebuild and start again, Warne has to be removed from the dugout TONIGHT

No, we'll all starting to feel what we did all of last season.

Personally, I'm more sad than mad just now.

On the plus side we got a lot of points at the start of the season, which means we have at least a fighting chance of avoiding relegation, whereas last year we were just about doomed already by this time last year. In my opinion though, we are now in a relegation fight again.

In the short term - I can see us only avoiding relegation if one of the following two things happen:

1) Paul Warne is sacked or resigns (he won't resign, why should he). Simply because it might spark a mini revival that will give us enough points to stay up, or

2) We get VERY lucky with the loan players in January and find someone to replace Woods & Mattock and another striker (at least) and somehow this sparks us back into playing football again and we gather up a few more points.

In the long term though something has to change at club level or we will continue on a downward path - I simply hope someone comes in who has genuine funds and half a brain and buys up the club, for as much as I will always thank TS for rescuing us and building our great stadium, the last two and a half seasons are so 'Booth-like' that it's scary...

I cancelled mine after last season as a protest after holding one for many years.

After the 1st 10 games I thought I'd got it wrong - but now all the reasons I cancelled it are back.

It is very worrying times. I keep seeing posts saying we have some good players who are being mismanaged. I don't think so. I think we have four maybe five players who I would be interested in keeping given a choice, and two of them are loan players. The rest could go for me. We don't have a reliable goalkeeper nor a single defender better than League Two standard. We are on an eight game winless run that has included games against four teams at the lower end of League One, Crewe who are struggling in League Two and a team that had ten men for forty minutes. We are playing dire, functional football. The recruitment has been awful. None of the players brought in to build for the future are showing any signs of being anywhere near good enough. The manager is a lovely man and a club legend, but he has zero management experience and only recently got his coaching badges. It made no sense to give him the job. It was a huge gamble and it seems to be backfiring because not only are we losing to poor teams but he seems to be in denial about how bad we are. He keeps saying we are 'not far away' or 'not getting a break' etc but the truth is that we are awful. It is as simple as that. The Chairman's ambitious talk is all starting to sound very hollow indeed and as much as he has done for the club people are losing trust and confidence in him. At the moment I am struggling to find a single thing to hang on to and feel positive about.

You can never be certain, but only a die-hard optimist would predict that we will get anything at Blackpool. That would make it nine without a win. We then have Plymouth at home. Even though they are rock bottom, expect the usual pre-match descriptions of them as an improving side, dangerous opponents etc etc. It is an overused cliche but if we don't win at Blackpool the Plymouth game would become a must win game wouldn't it? Never mind the manager's situation - the fate of the club is more important and if we don't get more than a couple of points out of these two games we will be right in a relegation fight come Christmas and with no form at all.

I think given the right tools, Warnety would be able to do what he needs to, he's a clever bloke, humble and what is he supposed to do come out to the media yet again and say such and such is s*** and hes not good enough, same mistakes from same people et al? I'll bet his conversations in his office and Roundwood are very different!

We've taken on this recruitment guy and it doesn't seem to be having any effect whatosever. So the buck stops elsewhere. If we have lists and you're always getting the bottom 9th or 10th target out of 10 becuase the board can't afford it - the net effect is always going to be one thing.

Take away our shiny smoke screen stadium and what are we? a league 2 football club, run like a league 2 football club with the finances of a league 2 football club

I keep hearing Warne is a clever bloke - well so was Einstein and I understand that he couldn't hammer a nail in a piece of wood. Warne was a clock in - clock out fitness coach who did not want the job. My point is he is nothing like a natural football manager who lives and breaths football management - and has done for years - and this is what we need. The previous manager's that were signed on 3 year rebuilding contracts were sacked way too soon to have an affect and KJ ran a mile. All three were far better than the current managers and all complained of short comings within the club. Something has upset the Chairman and he's lost interest and simply left the club to find its own level with a cheap as chips management team - and talk of adiquate budgets is a joke....especially last season. The cheap and cheerful defenders Warne has brought in are not good enough - it's as simple as that ! Watching the goals for Bristol and it isn't even Sunday league standard. Gawd elp us! The future....I think the Chairman will leave us where he found us.
