A waste of space to rival Blackstock & Bowery has just signed for Charlton on a two month contract & started the game v Posh tonight. Needless to say he was subbed after 71 minutes when Charlton were 2-0 down. His replacement scored as they came back to draw 2-2 with two injury time goals.
Nowt wrong with signing players like these in my opinion, like we did with Becchio too.
The issue is the contract you sign them on... with these types of players it should be on a pay per play contract, nothing more.
If they or their agents ask for more, tell them to **** themselves.
In the case of RUFC - having the idiots (in my onpion) that the club employs on player signing and contractual matters - we gave them long term contracts which hurt the club when they got injured or just wanted to collect their salary without trying.
It's common business sense - which is sadly lacking in RUFC in my opinion.
