Do you agree with his choice for best player and most surprising player? Let me know by posting your replies here. We will be doing our 10 game review podcast on the weekend (yes I know it is technically after game 11) so would like some more views for that from you Millers fans please!
Definitely agree with that, Ryan Williams is a cracking player - I don't think many appreciate how good he actually is, but I bet if you had the time to look at what we create he's pretty much in the thick of it I'll bet he's got a fair few assists to his name already.
The eleventh game adds to the picture of the first ten.
We have won every game in which we have scored first. We have lost every game in which we have conceded first. We have struggled for results away from home, but been strong at home. We have lost when we have played what are thought to be the stronger/fancied teams in the division and have won when we have played the poorer/less fancied sides.
Funnily enough except for Charlton our home fixture list has been kind so far and our away fixtures have all been against the stronger sides.
Over the next few games there will be a bit of a reversal in the pattern so far. We have some home games coming up against some stronger sides eg next at home are S****horpe. And we have some away games coming up against sides who are currently in the bottom half eg Rochdale and Wimbledon. Can we go away from home and beat the likes of them? And can we get wins or at least a point against stronger teams at home who aren't going to roll over, and might even get the first goal? See how the next half dozen games pan out and our prospects for a top six finish will become a bit clearer.
If come January we are in or in touch with the top six, it will be interesting to see the extent to which the manager will be backed to push on.
