from the comment mick made it looks rotherham have already expressed an interest in buying him
mick will obviously want to make a profit on a player they ONLY PAID 10K for.
SO tony time to get that cheque book dusted as its going to be at least a million plus wages. but if your comment about top 5 budget which was hardly spent on transfers in the summer has to be spent signing moore. i just dont think jch has the attitude or the ability to replicate moore goal scoring. when he come on he doesnt look bothered
The issue for us will be wages. Maybe we can agree a fee with Ipswich, but if Moore and his agent can get a deal done with another Championship side or a side in League 1 with deeper pockets than us why wouldn't he take it? And are we going to want to offer wages that upset the apple cart with other players in the squad? I think its a bit romantic to think that he might join us just because he has enjoyed it with us. That sort of thing gets bandied around but much as I would like it to be so, that isn't how football really works is it?
Its certainly not the way football works with us thats for sure, but it is the way of the rest of the bunch we are in competition with. If we don't get him someone else will. Millers miss out again, but this catch is worth landing.
I'm with Hillsborough on this one, Moore has more than proved his ability and willingness to work hard and be on the right spot on the park when it matters. JCH on the other hand would be 'Hobson's choice right now. He's had more than a fair crack of the whip and for me is a non starter and really needs to be shipped out.
It would be quite a coup to land Moore on a permanent contract; and wouldn't it be rather refreshing for Rotherham United to pay a fee for someone who is worth it. Or perhaps it really would be too good to be true.
Seems nobody is asking the question how on earth Ipswich paid so little for someone who clearly is a talented lad.
Permanent signing? - absolutely not a cat in hells chance, Ipswich don't need to sell him & can give him wages to sit on the bench we would have to sell half our squad to accommodate.
I'm more concerned with what happens when he does go, if we haven't got 3-4 targets lined up and ready to strike we will have learned absolutely nothing - and it's not as if we're blessed up top as it is!
I would love us to sign him and think we should try hard to get him. He is Ipswich's fifth choice striker and I suspect they would sell in January for the right money - reputedly Mick has to work on a pretty tight budget by Championship standards. I just think there will be a club willing to pay more than us, whether that be the transfer fee or the wages. This is a re-run of a film we have all seen several times before.
Whatever happens, we're going to have to shell out money for either Moore or a decent replacement - unless another loan agreement can be established. It's great that we have triple cover at RB (Cu mmings, Vaulx and Emmanuel), but at centre forward we have no cover apart from JCH who is unlikely to ever the deliver the quality which Moore regularly provides. It's too great a risk to await till Moore disappears before sourcing a replacement and, from what I've seen of Paul Warne so far, I can't believe he has no plan in place. I guess we'll just have to wait and see?

Warne has already said he ha san eye on two or three out of contract players (strikers) but is holding off until needed. Now that is not a plan.
I started the season wanting to have my first ever footballing bet at the bookies.
Keiffer Moore for top scorer and the 3 relegation teams from the championship beginning with B.
The reason why I didn't have Keiffer in the bet was that he would probably smash it at this level and then be on his way back in January so would be overtaken.
Then the bookies wouldn't let me bet on all the Bs do I had to just bet Bolton, Burton and Barnsley to come down.
I;m not gunna bother with this betting lark any more. Too complex.
