so who would you keep based on attitude ability and potential

i personally think jch injury excluded hasnt pulled any trees up

yates got brushed off the ball to easy last season if he bulks up he could be a player

imo

JCH of the two would keep. Yates last night looked like he hasn't progressed.

JCH - if he would work a bit harder he could be a good player and has a decent left foot. Yates isn't going to make the grade for me - he's had a lot of chances and never shone. A year somewhere else might do him some good.

Neither !! JCH had chances and it seems his head's not in the right place. Yates I know was in a kack side last year but if he was gonna make it he would have by now. Loose em both and spend some of that top 5 budget on a poacher who can feed off what we now have at the club

Seeing as you're asking I think both players are a work in progress.

I address these remarks to JCH not as criticism as such but more in frustration. You have undoubted talent but not the necessary will to succeed as a professional footballer. You have an over inflated ego which causes you to believe that you have already made it in the game. You need to get your head straight and take some advice from the manager and coaches at the Club otherwise I fear that you could end up playing non league football and that would be a pity.
Can I suggest that you look to Richie Barker for advice he may not have been the most skilful player but he made up for that with commitment and hard work and a will to succeed. The result, he has enjoyed a long and successful career in the game. He is a good example to any young player on what it takes to succeed, you have the skill but you need to couple that with some of the attributes that Richie has shown over the years.
Otherwise I fear for your career and that would be a waste.

Has anyone asked JCH what plans he has for the immediate future?

Moreover, where does he see himself in five years time?

I know he had a bad injury, but I would have thought that if he was going to buck his ideas up he would have done it before and most certainly would be making an all out effort now to get fit and be on the starting 11 each week. Since that isn't the case, for his own sake I think he needs to move on and find a club with a manager/trainer that can help him with his application, otherwise sadly,I can see him being a big fish in the non league circuit
