How did the likes of this lad not pop up on our radar last season when we were so desperate for a striker?

To put a few in the picture on him,Big Mick at Ipswich bought him in January 2017 for 10 grand!

Yes thats 10,000 of your great British pounds.

Why we don't take more of a chance on non league strikers is beyond me as there are quite a few who get plucked out for next to nothing and end up being sold for a fortune,This was the thing Steve Evans used to say about the age of a player and his sell on value and thats why he never spent big on a front man.

If this lad has a season to remember and we want to buy him,How much do you think Ipswich would demand for him?

I recon at least £500,000

I don't get the love in just yet.

(a) last year he'd have been bab in an utterly bab team

(b) he got a hat trick of tap ins - it was the team fluidity that made the goals he was just the last one on the end.

Plenty of football to play yet before we start putting people on our Christmas card lists

Disagree ex. The man oozes class. He has energy, desire, passion, hunger and skill.

That's more than the whole team last season.

While I would agree to some extent with Ex's first point, I would partly disagree with the second. Keegan was the tap in monger way back in the day, finishing the move created by his team mates; the point is you have to have the nous and foresight to get into the position to tap in the loose ball in the first instance, so I give him great credit for that, something we have missed. In addition once he has been sussed, he will be drawing defenders away making chances for others, but yes it still has to be a team effort

Not being harsh on him, he's a good player by the looks, hope he carries on. Just think it short sighted we're singling him out, the goals and particularly 2 chances we didn't finish off, that kind of football we haven't seen in a very long time. I just think the plaudits should be shared with most of the players and particularly coaching staff.

It all looked quite ordinary once he trotted off.

Think our style has always suited a big guy up front bullying the opposition defenders and the current two fit the bill - however - I think Proctor is more aggressive than Moore, but Moore is a more significant threat in the air. Revell was similar (without the heading ability) and many others before him have been in this tradition - Alan Lee...Ronnie Moore...Dave Gwyther.

I do think Moore is going to be a hell of a player - however, it is a bit early to be giving him the King Ronnie song!
