Never wear your shorts on your head. That pleasure is reserved for another football supporter. It is also very dangerous. Other than that you could always try the County at bottom of Corporation Street.

Don't get to bladdered, those steps in the stands are real steep with no handrail - makes for a cracking view but terrible to negotiate for even the Pimms brigade

And what a game to be your first one.

Don't think that they all end up with that scoreline!

Hello Slider,, yeah,, thought I was watching Germany !!

Obviously I enjoyed it immensely. Few pints in the Rhino, ambled round the outside of the top class stadium- lovely setting with the river etc.

Friendly, chatty people, including the away lot !

Red and White shop is expensive though, want a shirt but not for £50.

See you all at the Charlton game.

I wonder how they would be upfront without St Keifer ???

cheers all.

Shame about the price of the '£50' shirt in the 'Red and White shop'. But glad you were able to find and have a few pints in Rhino's and

enjoy the game.

Next home game why not call into the County pub for a few pints. We are all friendly, chatty people in there.

Cheers.

The County?????Blimey must have changed a bit since I was last in there. Used to be known as the Zoo. Once saw the landlord give a woman a bucket to pee in, which she did with gusto in front of the whole pub, because, in her own words, she couldn't be ar5ed to get up and go to the loo. 10 out of 10 for entertainment value.

£1-80 for a John Smiths in the Rhino.

No buckets were required.

Too right. It's always best to drink out of a pint pot. They don't do buckets of ale in Rhino's. Too large, too heavy and a danger of

spillages.

Whitbread's Trophy bitter was sold in a bucket sized pot, or it did in the TV ad…….."Whitbread's Trophy Bitter the pint that thinks its a quart" was the strap line. They used to sell it in the Cleaver in pint pots I hasten to add.

No Magnet has been gone for a few years unfortunately.
They did sell it in little cask barrels a few years ago in the fancy beer shops in sheffield but i think thats gone now.

Magnet was very popular in the South Yorks area, Rotherham and Sheffield in particular, but I guess Smiths have have streamlined production to just bitter which you can now get anywhere. Thats progress for you and sad to hear its no longer brewed, but at least I drank John Smiths, when "John Smiths were John Smiths" as my old dad used to say.
