Well.. been today.  Now I know after watching countless games how disjointed from reality these PL teams are but seeing it for the 1st time since a few Arsenal games at Highbury when Henry was scoring for fun, this was the first I'd seen live since then.

Don't get me wrong the decision making of players is light years ahead, you sit there in awe more than actually moaning how such and such is bab and totally clueless (Wellbeck aside - he is poo).  On top of that, players touch, control, passing and correct weight of - is something else.  Sat high up on the half way line you could clearly see what well drilled machines as a unit they all were, despite both teams fielding several new players. Life at the top is very very different.

Did I enjoy it? - yes for the appreciation of the skill on offer, would I be able to watch that week in week out? - no way.

As much as we can slate what we see, we watch people with mortgages to pay, not detached from everyday society, who go shopping at Meadowhall, go for a Costa or take the kids to Scarborough for a day out.  They might not be anywhere near what I've seen today but it's REAL.

For anybody moaning about what we're served up at our beloved NYS I think would do well to go see a PL game - I've no doubt in that one game your perspective will change - I know mine has taken a dose of reality.
