What a load of drivel and pointless rhetoric - shame on you Paul for trying to sell us this cr ap. Lose all the adopted son nonsense and miller through and through and you see a cheap alternative to a decent L1 manager. He's had 20 plus games and we now play worse, leak more goals and have poor stamina. Please stop peddling these "it could be PW and he might be ok" stories at us time and time again. He will never cut it for me and constantly printing stories about his plans for next season just make us all feel it's a fait au complet with the local media towing the line. Please challenge the club not act as it's ******* mouthpiece all the time.
NO, NO, a thousand times NO!!!!! I wholeheartedly agree with the above comments. Paul and Joe have always been welcomed on this board but if they insist on peddling this "Warne for manager" rhetoric, obviously supported by TS, the welcome may not continue to be as warm, take note guys!!
No. He is a very popular figure at the club, and good on him for taking on the job temporarily when nobody else would have touched it, but would be a very unpopular permanent appointment. He has no credentials for the job whatsoever. As Brad says, set aside the 'miller through and through' gubbins (which really counts for next to nothing) and what does Paul Warne have that makes him the best man for the job?
Probably right Brad. The local media are lily-livered to say the least. Can't see any one of them ever getting promoted to better things. If we can't find better than Warne we must be offering peanut contracts.

Do you apply your own standard to yourself.
what ridiculous judgements of others you spout.
They are doing a job.
why would you threaten them
yes. its an actual thereat.
"you may not be welcome-take note guys"
you are a disgrace. These are actual people doing and an actual job. think it through.
by all means criticise the article but the people...thats sick
Thank you NewYorkshire. Ian, my comment was by no means a threat, as was said the message read "their welcome may not be as warm", how you have come to regard my comment as a threat is totally beyond me.
I seem to have offended you in some way Ian, sorry about that as we've always seemed to get on.
We all know Brad can be very forthright in his comments when expressing his views on the club, and why not. But for what its worth, I didn't read the comment as a threat either.
Ian you must have been having a bad day mate when you submitted your post. No way did I see Brads comments as a threat. I have the greatest respect for the pair of you, don't let this spat sour your relationship on this board. And by the way a message to Paul and Joe, keep posting on Banter your contribution is appreciated even if we don't agree with your comments sometimes.
I must agree with the others Ian i didn't see Brad comment as a threat, he was just saying to Joe and Paul that if they post Goebbels style of propaganda then expect a backlash of negative comments from the fans
1) From reading the posts on here and the wild site , i haven't see any that have posted yes warne would be a good manager
2) why have Joe and Paul just commented on the why warne would be a good choice . most writers would balance it out with a few negatives as well and let the reader make their mind up.
3) the fact that they havent is why i have called it Goebbels style propaganda
4) do i want paul warne in the job answer no as he has not shown anything to me other than a man put in the role til end of season aka dead end charlie

I just dont understand why you have a go at them.
They are only doing their job.
Even to say someone is not welcome on the board is upsetting to me. It seems pointless and exaggerated to me.
Id hate to have someone infer I wouldnt be welcome because of my job/views/
We all know Brad can be very forthright in his comments when expressing his views on the club, and why not. But for what its worth, I didn't read the comment as a threat either.
I dont mean a literal physical threat.
I do think it is threatening to be on the end of someone telling you that you are in cahoots with others and thus you wont have a warm welcome on the board. Thats what I am feeling and pointing out.
Its just pointless it seems to me. By all means call out the article but why oh why have a go at our Friends and journalists on the board.
we all deserve respect. Im am standing up for that.
We are just looking for balance and for journalists to be inquisitive and seek out both sides of the story. If all they do is espouse the view of RUFC we can just go to the main site and read those views. Good journalism questions the views and opinions of those in charge - in all walks of life - we just want that. Like why are they so pro PW when his record is abismal and why do they say he couldn't be expected to make the team perform etc - either that's right and therefore his four match test run was nonsense as he was nailed on until the end of the season, or some people think his record is acceptable and worthy of being given the job full time. Challenge, question and enquire - all we ask.
I think we'll just agree to disagree Ian as I stand by everything I said, the article could have been written by any club employee, THAT'S how one sided it is, which is exactly the point I was trying to make.
In terms of response to Paul and JoE , one will find many times I have criticised their article and praised many too.
Paul and Joe were both invited by members onto this board and have spoken at least twice about the positive and negative support they have had.
I will personally draw the line at any individual reference to people not being welcome or not doing their job properly.
I do remember a long-ish post where fans asked some very direct questions to paul and Joe and there was a response from them that obviously meant they had responded personally with their time and effort. So, Im not asking for an all or nothing response and my usage of the word threat may well have been out of context. However, the unfriendliness is clear when names and presumption of doing a bad job are clearly implied. Personally, I dont like it. There is no need for it and I find it offensive that we treat each other so easily like this. Especially as we cannot actually know the issues and difficulties of their jobs and also they are not in a position to reply freely as we are to each other as they have a professional milieu to maintain.
To address Brads point about the slant he thought he read would be missing the point as that has nothing whatsoever to do with my reasoning. I dont care about, but indeed welcome the kind of criticism of the club as a whole, especially because as fans we dont have a personal relationship to the entity know as t 'the club' . All we can utilise is criticism addressed to the club via social media
But , back to my main difficulty;
This is not the first time the Journalists have been singled out and to reiterate I find it unfriendly and unwelcome. There are plenty of ways of saying we disagree, but to direct it personally at professionals does not seem fair to me.
I actually do appreciate that many will not notice the nuances I do and many may wonder why I find it offensive. However, like I have already stated my simply response to that would be a quick visualisation:
I imagine I receive a text or email. Lets say a customer or colleague writes to me or says to my face.
Ian, what you think or say is totally bias and you are simply not being honest. whats more, if you continue like this then you wont find a friendly welcome here.
I dont think there would be many here who would just brush that off and feel very good about their continued contribution or working relationship.
Anyway. I cant make myself any clearer whatsoever. Some no doubt think ti harmless and invisible. It is only social media after all.
Brad, you said it was unfortunate as we appear to get on. Indeed, I have attempted to Jolly you along many times when your sadonic nature has tipped over into death defying leaps of human endurance about the club. Its nothing at all personal with you and I have no personal negative feelings at all towards you or anyone on the board. On the contrary , I love your contribution . They eithe make me laugh or smile or I find my head nodding in agreement at your forthright view points that you sometimes put very succinctly and at toehr times you make a pretty prolonged but accurate point full of insight and knowledge.
And, Brad, on reading my original response to your post I found it far too strong towards you in the feeling and language I used. So I apologise and Am sorry for that as it would surely have put you on the defensive. It was far too strong a way to express my upset.
Anyway, Its my last word on it. (this topic about this post)Im happy to be wrong and too sensitive for whatever reason there may be for that.
well, happy might not be correct but Im prepared to be the only one who feels this way.
Jolly travels to us all
