We only lost by one goal……………getting better at losing and set a new club record in the process, how nice

Very reassuring that in setting a dismal record at a time when the club believe itself to be shopping in Harrods, ambitious, professionally run and here to have a go at reaching the premiership that we can only lose by one.

Optimism has to start somewhere

Yep gaz, we won't get to 20points either,

and then 100 goals conceded will be the next unwanted record.

I went like I always do. Another poor performance against the worst side we have played this season. Danny Ward 2 million pound striker your having a laugh. One on one on goalkeeper twice in first half fluffed both chances then proceeded to put one over the crossbar from virtually off the goal line a few minutes from the end.
No improvement whatsoever, I will leave it there as reliving this afternoon is depressing me too much.

It is all a tad depressing.

I have pretty much accepted what i think is the evidence based view. We have been told some very half truths , the clubs in debt and we cant sustain a championship team currently.

I think its also true that we will not be successful next season.

As a youngster I remember feeling very annoyed at all the old timers who would constantly grumble about the club not wanting to get promoted as "we cant afford it". I didnt realise what 'cant afford it' really meant back then.

Ajayi was the one that skied it over the bar right on full time. Danny Ward did miss 2 great opportunities to score, if he had took both chances we would have been 2-0 up after 22mins.....mind you we may have gone on to lose 3-2.

Team was right, tactics were right unfortunately our downfall was conceding bang on half time and as we know not the first time it`s happened.
