Ian, I quote
"Striker Carlton Morris should finally arrive in Rotherham after the weekend and Warne already has his eye of a long-term loan deal next year for the Norwich City youngster he likens to former Millers frontman Alex Revell"
“Ideally, he’ll come in, fall in love with the club, do really well and score goals, my charisma will win him over and, potentially, he’ll want to stay and have a season-long loan. That’s the idea.”
If Warne is not to be manager next season why would he be looking to do a deal to loan a player for that season?

To be fair gaz, I've given up reading the newspaper links and rely on the posts of those who have to draw my conclusions. In this case I think you are right and also right in it being wrong, if you get my drift

yes I see what you are pointing out.
I just think Warne and others use collective terms as a matter of routine.
If what looks like a decent deal in the clubs eyes comes up then "they" and "we" are going to pursue it no matter what the plans for a manager may be perhaps
