Thanks Joe - I look fwd to the more up to date questions and answers, although a lot are the same aren't they.
I certainly don't buy "The reason we didn't pay extortionate sums for the two players (Gregory and Bradshaw) is because the manager didn't feel they were worth that money."
It doesn't make sense that a manager identifies a target and then changes his mind, it's not his money - he just wants the player. Plus the same sort of quotes coming from Paul Warne recently " I'm looking for value for money" suggest it is not actually his decision at all.
I have separately written to Paul Rickets with a letter to put in the 'tiser..
Hi Davidedin,
Second part at lunchtime, third this afternoon.
Also, your letter will be in this week's Advertiser, thank you very much for sending it in.
All the best and appreciate the dialogue,
Joe
Message to the Club, hiding behind the pages of the Advertiser doesn't do it for me. It's time we had another fans forum. Let's be seeing the whites of your eyes. Nothing less will do.
Thank you Joe for your efforts on our behalf Joe it's always appreciated.
However, its really taking ownership for the way things have gone on the pitch. There cant be any excuses at all. The rot was in well before we kicked a ball with the huge gamble of bringing in stubbs. After 6-8 games it was as obvious as Blackpool Tower (?) that we were a very poor team led by a very incompetent manager and I mean obvious.
Why has it lacked so much quality?
Why have mistakes been repeated?
why hasnt the club got a recognised philosophy and can someone point out the strategy.

I agree with that Codger.
I too am grateful to Joe and Paul for their contributions, but with the greatest of respect re-printing previous vague answers isn't going to help us get fresh insight.
I think that the majority can accept that it is tough for us to compete in the Championship, but what is difficult for proud supporters to accept is that the club looks so amateurish that it has become embarrassing. If we are going to go down then we can do so having given it a fair go and with our heads held high. Instead the club looks like a poor imitation of Fred Carno's circus.
Mixed messages from the club, too many managers, no plan in place that survives more than six months before it is torn up, fitness coach in charge (no disrespect to PW), lack of fight, lack of leadership, Kenny Jackett fiasco, the Blackstock agent allegations, training ground no better, site around the stadium still shabby, desperate transfer window dealings despite big talk again. The list of problems is too long to deal with fully. Any one of them alone might be a problem. Add it all together and it looks a lot like a rudderless ship. The only person to offer anything resembling leadership is Warne who at least appears to care.
I will keep turning up, but many won't, and you can understand why. Matchdays are no longer much of a positive experience. If the club deals with this well then maybe we have a chance to steady the ship next season. If it doesn't take urgent steps to tackle things head on I fear we will slip through League 1 without so much as a whimper.
All fair enough ... TS has done us proud and look how far we have come under him. We dont have a god given right to be in this league and in fact we should be amazed we have been here for 3 years (only just last year) running a business is damn hard ! And we make mistakes ...those mistakes , mixed with bad luck, and a very difficult task to compete in the 4th biggest league in the world has resulted in our relegation. But as i understand the club is solvent enough and i expect us to have a good go at coming back next year. Thanks TS for all you have done.
( just wish you had paid to keep warnock as Stubbs appointment is the main reason were not closer to surving again)
Pretty much as the first and second parts. Small fish in a big pond, bigger clubs with cart loads more money, players wages, etc etc. What hasn't been mentioned is that there are small clubs like ours who are competing in the Championship who do have direction and commitment, who do have a manager, whose players are giving it a go, clubs who are signing the right players and are trying to establish themselves but we aint one of them.
