I know Ex, shoring up the back line with a player who hasn't played this season for the first team, Warnock wouldnt let a donkey come to us, but it is worrying.

Would he walk straight into the team at Forest ???

Got to agree Ex, don't think there is any gain in bringing loan players in, got to be looking over our shoulder at L1 and preparing for that

Hi Guys and girls,

Cardiff City fan here. I know what it's like when you sign a player and you've not really heard a great deal about him so thought I'd give you the heads up on Semi.

He's a tall, goalscoring centre back. We brought him in from Arsenal on trial at first and he was with us 2-3 months. He did really well and scored a few goals in the development team. A couple of times he was used in centre midfield and had some City fans purring because there was 100% a look of Viera / Yaya Toure about him and he bossed the game.

He's a player that has much better defenders ahead of him at the club although if you looked at our "against" record this season, you wouldn't think so. We've just lost Bruno Manga for the rest of the season and I said straight away that Semi should step up now and be our cover on the bench so I was a little surprised he was loaned out.

He has a great head on him and he's dangerous from attacking set pieces but I think he still has a lot to learn when it comes to his positioning whilst defending.

Overall, I think this loan may benefit us rather than you guys but I do think that he's due to click into life anyday and become a real top defender so I hope that's with you guys and that he helps keep you up (not at our expense I hope) and that he comes back a better player.

Good luck this season, I know it's not looking great but keep the faith

Well, we can't do any worse than we're currently doing, so let's start him against Forest tomorrow and see how good he is.

I reckon he'll do alright! .... fingers crossed.    biggrin

Thanks for the ''heads up'' Bluebird.

Perhaps he can get some of our fans ''purring'' if we play him in central midfield.

After all, we've not had much to purr about since Kari departed.   hmm

well , beggars cant be choosers.

We dont have the quality and we are picking up injuries now so something had to be done just to make it look like we know what we are doing.
