I Feel sorry for the ........

Young fans that we has adults have sold the belief of being a Miller. How can we expand our support when the signs from the top to the playing field are one of dejection. There is no pride anywhere to be seen from anywhere at the club. I feel so empty inside after watching yet another defeat, which wasn't helped by the ameture referee Stroud. Do I really want to go to another game this season? Answer...... Yes because I love my club.

Hi Rotherbird, it's hurting us all as you say... and we are Millers, so as players, chairmen and managers come and go, we're still here, we can't walk away because it's our club, in our heart and soul..

..and it's why we get angry and rant on here, we'd much rather be watching the Championship show on repeat enjoying it and going home from games with that good feeling...

I despair, I really do.
I like this site &this board but when I vent my frustration about events, players & staff at NYS but almost immediately I'm accused of being negative, not a true Miller etc.
Newsflash.............It may or may not have escaped your notice but RUFC currently are a shambolic mess from top to bottom, from lack of investment infrastructure wise through to A LAUGHABLE COMMERCIAL OPERATION, poor decisions on ALL things player wise from the choice of Managers (caretakers or otherwise) to the frankly laughable Head of Recruitment et al............................................
The club is in my heart but it's becoming embarrassing to be a fan right now. TBH sod the rest of 16/17 as the upcoming summer is imperative for the future of the club.
While I'm at it WTF are we turning down bids of £2m for Danny Ward???? We're skint, snatch their b***dy hands off, we're down anyway!!!!

... agree completely with that Brad, I predict we will keep him not get a contract extension so end up with no player and no money... who ever turned down the £1.5M should be sacked on the spot in my opnion... that would have gone a long way towards allowing us to bring a few new faces in next season. As you say, a laughable commercial operation...

Davidedin, I may have mis-read or misinterpreted your remarks about Danny Ward and his contract extension. I'm not sure there is an option to extend. IF there is then the club are in a better position than what people think. It's the club that has the option not the player, IF the club invoke the option then Danny Ward can't walk away at the end of the season.

If the club don't have a 12month option to keep him then he will walk away for free at the end of the season.

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that 50% of any fee we get from the sale of Danny Ward goes to Huddersfield, so perhaps the club are right to be holding out for a bigger offer.

Who knows, but time will tell?

Ha-ha, don't despair Rotherbird, we've been through rough times like these in the past, in fact come to think of it, even rougher times (Don Valley Stadium).

We'll bounce back!   biggrin

It's still a hefty chunk though Worcester.

I hope we can get a 2 million fee for him.

Better still, he stays with us and helps to fire us straight back into the Championship next season.
