I wasn't there on Saturday. I was in Sheffield paying lots of money to watch a collection of prima donnas prancing around. No, not Hillsborough - I took my youngest daughter to watch ballet at the Lyceum. Anyway, having seen the highlights I get what Ex is saying. Broadfoot wasn't looking at the ball at all. It may have been six of one and half a dozen of the other, but the consequence for them getting blown is that they waste a corner and the consequence for us getting blown is that its likely a goal conceded. Why would you run that risk?
Great to see Yates get a poachers goal.
Great to see Adeyemi (as his fitness improves) increasingly often getting on the end of stuff in the box.
Not having a go at Broady at all, hes been a great servant, it's one of those you get caught with during the 10 games or so you come back to full match sharpness, just appeared to be a pen (I'm sure we'd have been shouting for one)
I think he got away with it because there was lots of holding for both players and they were pretty static rather than the type when you see a player pulled back..he didnt get that chance to move too much as broady had pretty much nailed him down before he could.
Even if it was a pen it would still have been a sending off. In all the games i went to see the refs were constantly blowing for tussling in the corners. May be its a tactic they are employing.
