I have got loads of time for Lee Frecklington.  When we came up from L1 he was the most important player we had - a real leader on the pitch.  He is an intelligent footballer and a great finisher.

Unfortunately (and I know that he will be more frustrated than anyone by this) no matter how good you are, if you're not fit to be on the pitch you aren't much use.  For whatever reason he has had a series of injuries in the last couple of years and hasn't been available nearly as much as we needed him to be, and even when he has played he hasn't looked like his old self, partly because he only just finds his match fitness before he picks up another knock, and maybe because the pace of the Championship is a stretch for him.

If in four weeks time we are even more nailed on to go down I would be sure to give him as much time as he needs to get 100%.  A fully fit Frecks in L1 would be a huge asset.

Agree Smiler been a great asset but time now to move on. Get him his coaching badges and integrate him into the back room staff. We cant keep waiting on his fitness for one or two games followed by an extended period on the physio table.
