"everyone has to agree before we recruit a player"!

Good luck to Warney. I think he has everyone's support. We all know he will give it 100% in a difficult situation.

If we are going to try and stay up we need:-

1. Some results over Christmas.
2. The confidence that a couple of wins would give us.
3. A bit more luck than we had at Hillsborough.
4. A couple of quality loan players (to replace the loanees who have failed to deliver).
5. A couple of permanent signings who can add a bit of quality and who are up for the scrap.

This is all easier said than done, but the performance and atmosphere against QPR and the grit shown at Hillsborough suggested that there is something to build on.

What we mustn't do is gamble our entire future on staying up this year. We can't go down saddled with a wage bill that is not sustainable in League 1. That way lies ruin. With that caveat, lets get on with I and give it a right go.

The way you have laid this out is interesting smiler.

The recruitment you suggest would strengthen the team to give us a chance but not to spend too much , which is the originally and ongoing dilemma of what constitutes an acceptable risk.

It also makes me think again about the recruitment as we prepare to straddle two near future experiences; we will be relegated ; we will want to be promoted again. Perhaps a question is about how much of a risk the club will take to balance these two outcomes.
