Don't write off Dexter Blackstock

Okay I criticised the 3 year deal as the worst in Millers history.....but all of a sudden reports from the training ground are that Dexter is putting a shift in......and looks trim and mean......I am tipping a few goals for Dexter in the coming months.

Hope you're right, seems to me there have been a few write offs these last few years all of whom have been cast aside without having a fair run out and been dumped after one bad game. I think Thorpe could have been an asset to us and Belaid, said to have been MOTM by many, would, had it not been for his injury, been lost to us. You never can tell.

I thought Belaid was fantastic on Saturday Towdlad.  Not only did he do the ugly defending well but he has pace and covered well, and he added a bit of composure on the ball at the right times instead of panicking and just putting his foot through it all the time.  Frecks was immense - what a shame that he misses so many games.  He set the tone in minute one with a surging run and shot and led by example throughout.

Blackstock - if fit and interested he would be an asset.  If he can do for us what O'Grady did for Burton he would make a real difference.  We can't afford to write him off.  It is up to him really.

Are we Millers fans or what! Odemwingie went up with his arm like most players, prob' not that good in the air as well. Halford gets crippled nothing is said. Bamba punches Warnock only got a 2 match ban. Get real.

Good point towdlad. It has left lots of questions regarding the amount of players not given chances .

If PO wants to stay all season I'd take him without a doubt. I was angry about his lack of focus but will forgive him if he stays and puts a shift in.

Blackstock looked miles off but let's see what he has if he trains and gets fit.

Check out Blackstock's beaming smile during the post match celebrations on Millers Player. Not the actions of an aloof, mardy arse.

As the man once said 'Its a funny old game...' and I'd like to see Blackstock do well with us, for our sake. No point in having players doing nothing. a change often reinvigorates a player. I remember Rod 'The Nod' Fern skulking in the reserves, not doing much then along came Porterfield..........the rest is history.
