my opinion for what its worth on the 3year plan

The club needs a root and branch overhaul starting with the  infrastructure and the board we need a new chief executive. We need to move from round wood as they are a joke. Why haven't we asked to use the sports complex between brinsworth and tinsley which ironically is near our supposed state of the art new facility is  growing its 3rd generation of tumbleweed.

In my opinion tony has done us proud but if he wants his dream then he needs to make some choices  fast does the 3 year plan include the trainign ground or is it soundbites from a man lost in a dream given  wrong advice again.

we will be in league one next year no doubt about it . but he needs to keep  those fans who pay  through the noses to watch their beloved team. if he freezes the season ticket prices i can cope with that but if he puts them up mmmmmm have to think about renewing as it will cost me just under a grand

tony you need to look at those around you and cut off the deadwood and roundwood

Sensible post Hillsborough. TS must understand it too, he is after all a successful businessman, so why does it seem we do everything ad hoc with a sticking plaster approach. Its so blatantly obvious now that the business model employed at NYS is not working and I wont pretend to know exactly where the problem lies (we all know about the budget restraints); but either way if this club is ever going to be prospect in the Championship its going to need careful almost military style planning and a well thought out workable strategy, built around people who know the game inside out (a Warnock type) and astute business a***en.

For what its worth, heres my take on the situation.

TS is as Towdlad says, is a successful businessman in the lighting business, he has learnt some valuable lessons recently, where his choices have not been the best.

The elephant in the room here is the stadium, USE IT !!!!

Why give a billiard table of a playing surface to the opposition, when if we trained on it every week and our players are used to its surroundings, and then use the stadium facilities, like dining and gym, we wont be reading the Daily Fails headlines of a treadmill in a container,/asked to leave when a function is on etc which is an embarrassment / shambles.

I love my team, as we all do, but something has to give,

TS got caught out, we should be having our first season in the championship under his original 5 year plan.

So TS over to you.

Because next season we still wont have a proper training ground, and a stadium/ club struggling through with 7500 crowds.

I think 7500 crowds in L1 is more than a tad optimistic.

I don't know why they don't use NYS as a training facility either, surely the surface can cope with that. There might not be a gym but surely a 1 day excursion to a local facility where they get sole use wouldn't be that bad?

Owt's gotta be better than bloody portakabins!

Ex. There are plenty of empty spaces on every corner of the ground. I'm sure to attract better players in the future, a semi first class arrangement can be sorted out. I am miffed as to why we give nothing to the players when they are our biggest investment. Come to work every day at the NYS, got to be better than going to Rotherwood.

try anything RUFC announce they are looking for a commercial partner in the fitness / gym field

in the short term is there any Gym type facility/business RUFC could hook up with in the area to get the use of good space equipment etc
(push for a sponsor in this field to come on board)

i know nothing of whats available is this area i'm too old to use this stuff
i know at one time there was talk of Badsley moor lane NHS rehab centre closing
a ready made facility inc hydro / swimming pool.

i hope RUFC are looking at options to move forward in this field
