JACKETT BETRAYAL

With so much surprise and celebration at his appointment and with so much empathy at the situation he had inherited, KJ assumed an enviable position at NYS where no-one would have blamed him for overseeing relegation for the Millers. Everyone understood that the crop of players left him by his incompetent predecessor meant that only a miracle of the type delivered by the likes of Neil Warnock would have seen us avoid almost certain relegation. The most common statement around NYS was that they felt sorry for KJ but most were confident that at last we had the right calibre of manager who could turn around the fortunes of the club, sort out the training requirements, develop some intelligent tactics, use his experience to bring more out of the younger players, build a determination amongst the squad to not go down without a fight and construct a long term plan for success. Furthermore, most people expected that, come January, this well informed football man would have a list of players waiting to join him to either strive for Championship survival or prepare for a League One promotion push.

It's anyone's guess why he resigned - because he sure as hell is not going to tell us. But I don't for a moment buy the excuse that he'd become disenchanted with what he has inherited or that he had been disappointed with the money promised for the January transfer window. He is a vastly experienced manager who would have known all these details before he signed a 3 year contract. Furthermore he would have known everything about the training facilities, the recruitment situation and the plans for NYS and the surrounding infrastructure.  It is inconceivable that he has learned something new in his 39 days which has made him change his mind so drastically.

So I'm thoroughly disappointed with KJ and all the goodwill I had towards him has evaporated.  He is not the footballing guru and hard-headed manager that I had thought. He's taken the faith of 8000 Millers' fans and shoved it back in their faces. He has shown that he has no integrity, no guts for a fight and is no better than a host of other money grabbing wannabees who we see too much of in footballing circles. So Kenny, to quote a famous incident involving Gordon Ramsay, you can take your Jacket and F**K off!

For TS - I trust you had a clause in his contract that should he leave he would have to pay back the remainder of his contract? Finally, don't overlook the opportunity to bring in Frecks as Player/Manager. He could be the next Eddie Howe!

Can understand your point of view. Situations change perhaps the budget he thought he was going get couldn't be delivered on. I speculate, but, Peter Odemwingie was our highest payed player when we signed him. In fact we changed the wage structure for him £40k per week. Now he's on way less than that now. I can't see him being on less than 10k per week. Unfortunately that's the kind of budget you now need to stay in the championship. You're competing with Billionaires with Fosun or Dr Xia at Wo1ve5 and Villa. Jackett resigned there is no gardening leave nobody owes anybody it was a clean break it's a shame its happened
