Richard Wood gave everything for RUFC tonight like he has every time he puts on that shirt. If you want to demorolise a player do not try and pick on him. There are alot worse in the team, ones that do not give 10% never mind 100%
Please just watch Wood's defending and not his fist clenching , his snarling, and his urging the payers on.
Watch his defending over the last few games, closely, and then tell me that I am wrong.
Effort plus no ability is not the answer.
Don Page for example put a lot of effort in but he was a terrible player. Infact the list of crap "tryhards" who have played for the Millers is endless.
Wood needs to go in the transfer window.

However, to start with, just look at Wood when the ball comes in from the wing, trying to catch a forward runner. Laughable.
Well I have to disagree with you. The centre backs are not the problem with our defence. If you want to point fingers, maybe look to the left and right. Fisher has never impressed me, a poor, lightweight defender and not much of an attacking threat either - why he still gets a shirt every game I do not know and the less said about Kelly's performance the better. When half your defence is not up to the job then a player like Wood is bound to try to make up for that and in the process look to the uninitiated like he is having a bad day but in truth he is covering the jobs of two other players ... it's called leadership.
