Just what we need! We are creating enough opportunities and someone like Odemwingie could increase our conversion rate considerably. I know he's on the old side, but he has the type of build where age is not too much of a disadvantage. I reckon KJ realised on Saturday that Blackstock is not the answer and has acted fast and decisively to put that right. Gets my vote!

On Saturday night I had the daftest dream. I dreamt I was taking the mickey out of Mick McCarthy because Rotherham beat Ipswich 3-1. Given that I never dream about rubbishy like that I thought I would have a bet on it. I don't bet on football so I gave a fiver to a mate who said it was 40 to 1. He laughed at my stupid bet and put it on for me.

I must have been mad I know....but welcome mr Odemwingie. Make me 205 quid please.

Heman

Football is a young mans game now, he should be coaching at his age. Would be amazed if he got 3 goals before his deal ends

i disagree entirely. You have to have a mix of youth and experience. I bet he gets 5 in 2 months.

Jermaine Defoe is 34 and a similar build and doesn't do too bad!

I know he's getting on a bit in football terms, but these next 3 months will define our season, why not take a punt.

I couldn't believe it last night when my daughter rushed downstairs and says "look at RUFC Twitter feed Dad". Well done KJ and TS.

Good, positive move by Jackett. We needed to sign a striker before the window shut and for some reason Stubbs failed miserably. Odemwingie is probably the best of the free agents out there so well pleased with this.

Im uncertain but lets face it any move is a positive mood and we deffo know we need more presence up front.

If he is in decent shape then he will be ok at this level for us.

The main feeling I have is that you at least know what KJ is trying to do.

Definitely worth a try. He won't cost us that much as he's only signed until January unlike Blackstock, I really hope it works out.

I'll be ready to choke, and regurgitate on my words - hope he can contribute in a meaningful way cos we have to do anything and everything right now - that 8 point gap is eye watering
