A total luxury player, who has got the monk on because Stubbs has been sacked. No commitment at all today and he received a well justified bollo cking from Halford for not running and chasing.
We can't afford to carry a 'little boy lost".
John Swift on the other hand was absolutely immense today. He has bulked up and was the standout player.
Unfortunately we haven't got time to train up Brown, who has undoubted ability, to Swifts standard
Time to move Izzy permanently to the subs bench and let the geezers get on with the relegation scrap.

I couidnt believe how much hes grown too. Had a very good game and just shows what can be done with the right diet and application.-reminded me of Agards transformation.
Agree, very disappointed in Brown and hes been drifting further off the pace each game recently-not sure if KJ can make him effective as he seems to need a total education in terms of being a team player. Undoubted talent but needs some real management from KJ.

Yeah you right, perhaps we should hound him out of the club like we did that other young hopefull that we deemed couldn't make the step up. Whatever happened to John Swift anyway
It's took a couple of years for Swift to get into that condition. Have we got the time to do that with Izy before we send him back to Chelsea? I think not.
Have you ever thought that the treatment of Swift at RUFC might have done him some good. By all accounts he was a show pony, turning up late for training in his flash car and nesthng tackles in games. RUFC saw this and got rid because they knew they couldn't carry him. Consequently John Swift changes his attitude, bulks up and becomes a player.
I didn't say hound Brown out of the club.
We just haven't got time to carry mardy brats this year.

I concur Kempo, er I mean TTB. I did say something similar when we signed him (if you care to trawl through my previous posts) that he was not the sort of player you need in a relegation battle. I did have to eat my words somewhat when he put in a couple of very good performances but he has now reverted to type. No ******* for the battle ahead and getting the lip on when he's dropped to the bench.
We must have had a relative of his sat in front of us yesterday (bald chap and his missus) talked to him at half time and seemed to know a bit about the millers despite talking with a ****ney accent. Mid way through the half when Izzy came on we commented about his tendency to being an idle chunt and said chap turned round with a grim look on face and barked "you know **** all pal" oops!
I have to say Im in agreement at present about Izzy.
There was a chap near me being very critical of Evans apparently letting swift go and concluding Evans didint know a player when he saw one.
I dont remember the exact details of his stay here but there was no way that RUFC could have hung on to the lad for 2 seasons in any scenario. He as obviously quite talented but was a mere boy when he was with us and no way could he get in the team that season. Its is misleading to say anyone was to "blame" for his departure.
we have had several very talented youngsters down here in the last 3 years but its not our choice to be able to keep them, train them, loan them back and ultimately buy them. These good young uns are going to attract very big attention when they get up to fighting weight.
so , they arent ours in the first place, and we cant carry then for a season never mind two and if we did we wouldnt get anything from it unless we could buy them, which we cant.
some youngsters have done very well for us but gone elsewhere on loan and others like swift were quite poor when they were here.
Izzy , is currently showing a very poor attitude. He only comes alive when he has the ball and then shows little inclination to find a team mate. If he is going to mature into the player he could be he has to start working his socks off and develop his all round awareness and stop chasing the ball like a hapless 4 year old. We need the whole team to defend and press and despite some outstanding one-man shows he will be dropped by KJ, unless he can get that work and team ethic in his blood.
