I mentioned it in another thread Paul about his relationship with the media. On more than 3 occasions did he invoke the reaction of 'really did he actually say that!?'

I find it really bizarre that a man of obviously his coaching standard, and a seasoned ex pro at PL level that didn't understand how the media can work for you. Warnock, that was one of his greatest successes. But is that borne of experience? I don't think it is.

As for his relationship with the fans, it was never great from the off after being teased with the prospect of an experienced Championship manager. But he did nothing to make that situation better, in the media or his actions on the pitch or after games. While yes you need an air of professionalism and authority, it's still an entertainment business - and lose your audience at your peril.

I feel though that the problems at the club are greater than one man. The positive is we've acted quickly, really there was no remit to let it go on any longer - but those in the hierarchy need to take a long, very long hard look at themselves as they are not immune here. While the players are seemingly not learning from their mistakes on the pitch neither is the board, and that is an even bigger worry right now.
