Ball had a cracking game that header off the line was top notch along with fry the two centrebacks looked a lot more solid than a defence with Kelly or Wilson in
Brown was out of the game at 60 mins should have come off
My worry is stubbs us of substitutes and inability to read a game.
I modern manager has to be able to make subs count and taking newell off if he wasn't injured was an awful decision. Anyway we played a lot better and if we try like that every game I will be happy.
Luck,we dont get much, bad refs we get plenty of,winning goals in last two games came from a handball at Huddersfield and a foul not given against Newcastle, game before winning goal from a deflected shot..Surely it has to change, our passion and effort could not be faulted yesterday, most people had us down for a drubbing and it did not happen, perhaps we are not as bad as some people think we are.
Spot on a Derby. I could see the ground opening up before Izzy Browns eyes after Shelvy picked his pocket for the twelfth time on the 60th minute. To take Newell off and leave him on was virtually abuse.

Just about everyone I have spoken to saw it and called the substitution, that fact that stubbs didn't is cause for concern.
He may have seen it . Odds are he did. However , he came to a different conclusion.
I would suspect it's to do with the relative merit's of both players. For what it's worth Im not sure I would have taken him off but at the back 9f my mind would be his pace and ability to take 2 or 3 players out of the game in a moment of sheer ability. I couldn't criticise stubbs too much for keeping an ace up his sleeve.
Ease up on Brad he has a right to a view and I have a feeling he may be right. Hope to God AS pulls it round but the evidence so far shows that he is not up to it.
Sorry Brad I know you want best for us , it's just that I feel AS is taking unfair stick, his job must one of the more difficult in football he has got to start and build a team from virtually scratch , also on glad to see player's being signed on 3 year contracts at least it shows he has faith in them ,and it's giving the team some foundation which we have not had for a few years ,I am willing to give AS at least a full season to see if it works out ,hope my confidence in AS pays off .
UTM
I seem to have created something of a debate as to my views.
Len you are right, I do want what's best for the club & perhaps my views are clouded by 44 years of "seen it all before". Tony Stewart for all his attributes CANNOT pick a manager, true he got lucky a couple of times as I've said before but the hiring of Scott, Redfearn & now Stubbs bears that out especially when at the time there were better qualified guys out there with the required experience for the job. IMHO the Head of Recruitment job is a ruse to appease the press & fans as we all know who'll get the final say in any recruitment.
For all the debate between fans etc it still boils down to money. It's plainly obvious that without significant outside investment we simply cannot grow any further as a Football Club, it's as simple as that.

Spot on! But this has been the case throughout the whole history of RUFC. We have never been a Man Utd. Being skint and 2nd rate is who we are.
I'm looking on the optimistic side of things because this time last week I was in Cuba EXACTLY where the hurricane's eye is today. Life is sometimes about luck.
Brad is obviously a troll and will pursue this "sack the manager" routine for ever because it gets him a lot of attention. I can handle that. It would be scary to think that there are Millers fans out there who really do hold these opinions. I mean just look at our stadium (hosting internationals) the division we are in, the quality of players who come here ( Izzy Brown, Kari Arnason). Who honestly could be unhappy about this considering where we have come from? No 'true" supporter consistently barracks the manager after only 11 games. A true supporter would hopefully have the self awareness that their attitude in the stadium and on social media, if it is negative, makes the manager and teams job much much harder.
That's why Brad is a troll.....no one can be that blinkered in real life.

Just leave it out can't you. Brad is a regular poster on here, and I enjoy reading his contribution. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I dont, it doesn't make his opinion any less valid. Why cant you accept that we all see things differently and form our views and opinions accordingly. Its about debate. Even you TTB, have posted some interesting views concerning our manager recently which was refreshing to read. Please dont revert to type. Theres no need for it, just making mischief.
I think the debate has swung a little given the last 2 performances from one of when stubbs is sacked to what would it profit us?
When one thinks about the whole picture it does seem to me that this season the boat has already sailed. Given the change in transfer and loan policy and given the fact that a different approach is needed currently it seems we are well and truly committed and have burnt those bridges.
Stubbs has brought in some who look to weak and others who look good for the longer term.
I have changed my perspective. If we go down then I think we go down with stubbs and the way he is trying to build.
Wonder if you think that after a few more hammerings ian. If AS wants us to play his way surely the impetus is to bring in players that are good enough to do this, so far he hasn't. A couple of decent performances both resulting in defeats hasn't made meforget the pastings at Villa, Barnsley, etc & I maintain that we need a manager with ENGLISH Championship experience.
