You simply couldn't make this sh1te up could you? We wait until the bloody window is shut to realise that our recruitment wasn't all that and so now we hire somebody to sit on their hands until January.
Shakes head in disbelief.

Suppose it depends how much of a state that dept. is in, might take 2 months to sort it then another 2 months to get the wheels in motion to target prospective targets and all that goes with that...
... or you could spend a half hour on footy manager
Is yet another manager the answer though, surely investment in the club is the key,TS has done exceptional things for the club, but every manager we bring in is bound by tight budget controls, its a good thing to work within your means, but our budget allways condems us to a relegation scrap.Personally I would rather be in this league even if it means more of the same struggles.
YES, another manager IS the answer, someone with the Championship (English) experience Tony spoke about. What we don't need is another suit full of f**k all named head of recruitment, give the new manager the power to bring in the players AND back room staff he sees fit.
What if your English manager fails, what then,I mean we have tried Evans and Redfearn and both failed, good managers like good players want good salaries plus big budgets.I would like to hear your suggestions of currently available managers who would come and work with the budget we offer.Warnock could have been the answer, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it was budget restraints that put him off.Barnsley seemed to have unearthed a gem but how long before he gets headhunted
Missed the point mate, I didn't say English manager, I said manager with experience in the ENGLISH Championship. Sooner or later Tony will have to loosen the purse strings, or L1 or worse beckons.
