On the way out of NYS heard a punter behind me say 'They were crap but we were crapper'! Spot on.  The reasons behind our inept defence of leads are now carved in stone and understood by every fan at NYS. But today I also detected a lack of desire and passion which I put down to Stubbs' humiliation of individuals in the press. There's no encouragement or instructions from the sidelines apart from his signal to compress the defence after we went one up (Frecks said on PorG that defending deep wasn't a management decision - afraid I have to disagree - he signalled it from the technical area). His post match interview made me squirm and if he has the same inability to pass his thoughts on to the players, no wonder we're in a state. It's quite clear to me that Stubbs' is unable to change and that his methods have seen us lose to the worst sides in the League. There's nothing to be gained by persisting with him - bringing in any competent replacement may not see us survive, but it can't be any worse than what we have at the moment. I feel sorry for the players - I think under the right management they would survive comfortably in the Championship.

My mate fell asleep in the car and when he woke up he asked me what stubbs had said. I tried to explain it but couldn't put two thoughts together. It was just so zero.

You'd have to just shake your head and thank him for trying hard but thanks all the same. It's really bad when you end up feeling sorry for someone who is so bad at their job.

Please end this Tony.

Mind you , remember Tony 's response to the question about stubbs?

" he's a bit quiet but he seems to know what he's talking about".
