I think if Stubbs loses this one it will be over for him, Cardiff rock bottom and we will be in the poop with we lose it and not much better if we draw.
Optimistic for Saturday if Frecks, Wood and Newell start. The work rate and commitment will go up immediately as these three guys give their all and will encourage the other players to do the same! Plus with Frecks and Newell, we have genuine goal threats from midfield who can also actually defend when needed!
Another glaringly obvious absentee at the moment is Broadfoot. Hopefully Kirk will recover quickly as this will also be a massive boost in the work ethic department of the team, plus we also have Mr Blackstock in the wings ready to improve the attacking options.
I do understand the frustration and dispondent views of a lot of fans at the moment but, I'm not there just yet. If we do not improve massively with the four or five players mentioned above (which is 40 - 45% of the team!!), I for one will be shocked and then, maybe, I will slip into the "doom and gloom pit" that seems to be home for a number of Millers at the minute.
Roll on Saturday, If Freck's and Newell are in midfield, I fancy us for the win!
If I put aside my disappointment at the majority of the new signings then I agree with you .
Maybe , the addition of these players that we know can perform well enough at this level will impact on the team enough to pull the majority through with them. Like you said its a good 40 %, which should be enough to make an impact.
