Much improved

To a man we were 100 percent better than Saturday. Few stand out performances - Fisher, Adeyemi, Taylor ... Gutted for Yates!

Much, much better from us tonight, effort & commitment in spades, in fact more of a Warnock performance than the dirge Stubbs has served up until now. Chelsea loanee Izzy Brown was superb & worried the Forest backline all night, Jon Taylor (two goals) superb, midfield still lightweight though although Adeyemi did well, we need to get Frecklington match fit again, he was only on the field 15 minutes tonight & got an assist, on to Ewood now on Saturday for a vital game with one of our rivals near the bottom.
As I predicted that we'd end up beaten & humiliated, I'm delighted to be wrong & tonight is the quality of performance we need to produce more often.
Negatives are we still are surrendering possession too easily & defending too deep at times.

Much better performance but Forest allowed us the time on the ball. Apart from the goal, which was superb, we didn't really create another chance in the first half. Forest had one effort from distance.

Fisher was brilliant but ironically cost us both goals. He gave away the free kick which led to the corner that they scored from and they scored from the free kick when he got sent off.

Frecks has got to start, probably in place of Allan. Wilson was sloppy far too many times and would prefer Ball to partner Fry. Mattock was back to his best.

We have hope!

Much, much better - now that was a Rotherham United performance although I though Frecks should have come on earlier and probably for Allan rather than Adiyemi. And Stubbs in the technical area all game .... things are looking up. Maybe he is listening to the fans. Onwards to Ewood park and three away points.

The future is bright. The future is Brown. Playing centrally off a striker and getting the ball to feet running at people he is going to do some real damage. I thought we were really good tonight. Great commitment, some good football, a fight back, and a crap ref to shout at. All the ingredients for great entertainment. A shame we didn't win but it's hard to deny that Forest deserved a point. Still room for improvement but no real complaints and some encouraging signs.

I said after Dingles I don't know why Izzy doesn't play up top. Good to hear a good performance and playing higher up the pitch, lets hope its the start of better things and not a one off. You can't win em all, but if you're playing well and doing the right things, the crowd will give you that extra buzz and the points will start to tick over

All we require as fans, win, lose or draw is the desire, commitment & work rate we saw tonight, this should be a given, but has been sadly lacking in some games. Lets hope our season starts here.

Well I'm going to defend fisher. First yellow he was clearing the ball. No way a yellow. Secondly the free kick was a moving ball and should have been a retake. The foul was a yellow. Finally how can you seriously say it was his fault when the free kick resulted in a corner which ended up being a goal? That's a new phase which really was camps fault.

Outstanding game all round apart from the Ref who got the first throw in wrong after 15 seconds and deteriorated from then on! Hats off to AS who has listened and learned. Defending higher up the pitch - big tick. Stood in the technical area all match getting involved - big tick, played a left back at left back - big tick! On the pitch - Brown in a class of his own and working well with Ward. Taylor did what he's always looked capable of - taking people on, great crosses, two superb goals and worked hard defensively. Back four solid and composed with Fisher a stand out. Adeyemi - just what we needed in midfield - big, strong and breaking down Forest's attack. My only reservation is with Allan who doesn't possess the strength, skill or pace to be our creative midfielder. Great spirit in the team and great support from the home crowd who applauded every positive effort wherever it happened on the pitch. Feels like a point won tonight as opposed to two dropped. Now you've seen what it takes Alan - more of the same please!!

Heman, you have misunderstood. I'm not blaming Fisher for the goals! I thought he was absolutely brilliant last night and was probably my man of the match which is why it is slightly ironic that the goals came straight after his fouls.

Fisher was outstanding. Fry looks classy. Mattock was back to last seasons form. Adeyemi did a lot of good work and I think will be a fixture and a good player for us as his fitness picks up. Brown was fantastic - not just his obvious skill and touch but his work rate and enthusiasm. To see him making a solo driving run from half way into the box at three terrified defenders in the 97th minute was inspiring stuff. Taylor's goals will lift his confidence. Credit to Forest and their fans too. It was a great spectacle all round.

top class entertainment.

everyone 100%

Fisher coming on leaps and bounds, Getting up and down the pitch last night-great.
Taylor is a great signing for that money...indeed hes just a good signing.
Fry was pretty much very impressive again all night.

Izzy, was unplayable at times.
Cannot remember enjoying an individual performance from a RUFC player so much in a long, long time.

stubbs , stood up all game. Moved his arms and legs and shouted. great atmosphere. belief was in the stadium and team again.
To actually come back from one down and 10 men-thats pretty encouraging.

A great night...

apart from the ******* 4 lane motorway down to one as per usual with nil work looking like it was taking place any way-Grumble

I think regarding Mattock that some credit has to be given to AS. He has received criticism for playing "square pegs in round holes" because of his use of Stephen Kelly at left back in place of Joe Mattock in the last few games. By all accounts Mattock was looking uninterested/out of form in the first few fixtures he played in. By leaving Mattock on the bench for a couple of games maybe AS has re-ignited the desire and improved Mattock's work rate when he got his chance again. I believe this is an example of first class man management. Just wish the knockers would leave AS to do his job. He clearly is not a fool. He deserves a chance to shape and mould his team after a late start and difficult window. He clearly knows how to pick a player. Judge him after Christmas. There will be improvements as the team's match fitness increases and they continue to gel as a team. We just need to show a bit of patience as supporters.

Struth.  Talking like that will get you nowhere as a Millers fan cobber.

If Stubbs (who at this time yesterday was useless/out of his depth) deserves any credit at all then it is because he had the good sense to listen to football heaven, read the message boards and follow the sage advice on offer.

In fact I don't know why we have a manager.  Management by committee might be the way forward.  Open team selection and recruitment up to the public vote.

In all seriousness, good points well made Aussie.

Thanks smiler. Its amazing what a few matches on the bench will do if the player has any bottle or fight in him. We have got some terrific players this year. Just need time and patience. I think AS will turn out a great manager for us. Got a good crop of young players. A bit of luck with injuries will help. If we can keep the likes of Frecks and Broafoot fit I think we will be fine. Nice to see some blistering pace in the team too
