Pick a formation , pick your starting team , get them drilled ...we need to gel quickly. Also players from scotland and other poor championship teams cant cut in ... Get some more prem players in on loan and get the supposed cash we had for gregory and bradshaw spent asap. ( if it exists)

Tell NewYorkshire to keep the faith! The poor guy along with a lot of other Millers fans, had to endure a 700+ mile round trip, with all the time & money spent, to witness what sounded like the second tame surrender in four days, & I wouldn't call a few observations regarding our newbies "rubbishing" players at all, in fact I mentioned how difficult it must be trying to integrate into a team unit without a full pre season. I always post my true views & feelings & I try & come across as being fair, but I do struggle with the "eternal optimists" amongst our supporters, as they seem to buy into AS & TS's Premier League is our aim nonsense.
Newsflash, as far as recruitment is concerned, we are Championship bottom feeders & our season's aim is exactly the same one as the last two seasons, namely 21st place, & any Millers fan who thinks otherwise I'd really love to live on your planet.......

Brad, some people have written some players off after seeing them for 45 minutes. Some are already saying the manager is clueless. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and mine is that it is ridiculous to arrive at those conclusions so quickly, and I stand by that. I've got no problem with anyone criticising a performance but I think football supporters generally are getting less and less patient and I think it is counter productive at times. If you or anyone else think different on any of that then fair enough. I happen to agree with the poster who said get a settled team, settled formation and settled way of playing. The back four in our games so far has featured ten different players in four games and that needs to settle down into the best four consistently. When the Window closes and injuries permitting that should happen. And I don't buy into the idea that we can push for the top half of the Championship and aim for higher than that, not under Stubbs or anyone else. It isn't a realistic goal, certainly not yet. Staying up is and always was priority number one and every place above 21st would represent decent progress.

I think we're more or less on the same page smiler, we just express our views differently but one think I will never ever condone is going down without a fight as we did at Villa Park & seemingly again tonight, that to me is taking the micky out of the fans TBH........

I think the reason I like this site is that you can have and share your opinion irrespective of what it is - obviously within reason and not just slagging people off or trolling. Also Brad - my journey was only from London and back as I live there during the week - but it's still gonna be after midnight when I get back and I will have spent £100 or thereabouts, so I'm keeping the faith!!!

I must admit it is easier when so far away and it costs nothing money wise and less emotionally as I don't have to watch it. But if we go down I am sure we will be competitive in league 1 and eventually get promotion again. I think TS has set us up well for league 1 just not at the moment the Championship. So I don't feel there will be a repeat of the past when we drop like a stone into div2. It would be great if we could establish ourselves in the Championship but lets be honest currently the odds look against us.

jesus lets face facts we have basically got a new team give the guys time to gel

yes we are leaking goals and he is trying to get the players in as the ones he inherited either cant or wont play it

we was on catch in transfer due to warnock dithering and to be honest i dont think we would be in better situation with him in charge as the better teams worked out his system.

once we get the striker and left back and to be honest i think camp has been awful so far this season

I'm glad some of you are feeling positive that things will pick up, I sincerely hope you are right and Stubbs pulls some proverbial rabbits out of his hat. Apart from the first 20 minutes against Wolves we have looked like the Championship whipping boys at this rate we will be this years Blackpool. We capitulated against 10 men at home and could have lost the game from a comfortable position. We were outclassed by a very ordinary league 2 side in the cup who on another day could have been in double figures our defending was so bad. We went to Villa, a side that had not won a game at home in 19 games!! Who would have crumbled had we got at at them but we gifted them three of the sloppiest goals you will see this season. But oh wait, no! We did it again away at Brighton we set up not to concede and promptly did so with defending that a schoolboy would be embarrassed with and we are so toothless up front that we never looked like getting back in to the game. I said this team looked like a Redfearn team after Villa. Well I've changed my mind, it is worse, much worse. Roll on Saturday.

I don't know whether it will pick up or not S8, but I do know that any manager needs to be given more than three proper games to make his mark. We can't keep shipping players in and out and changing the manager three times a year. That becomes a vicious circle.

I agree, Stubbs needs time, but I do find the current arrangements worrying. Redfearn needed time, time we didn't have. He had no pre season at all, I just hope Stubbs comes good.

But, if it all goes belly up I think TS needs to listen to some of his interviews post Warnock, re:- appointing a manager with Championship experience. It was plain as a pikestaff that Warnock knew his stuff, knew the Championship and it was obvious we needed someone like him that had the pedigree we needed to help get the club established and bring together the essence of a solid squad. So to hear TS talking about appointing someone with just that sort of experience, I began to feel optimistic and I thought lessons had been learned and the club was moving into a new era.

I know it all comes down to money, but we didn't get any of the things TS boasted about and the pattern thus far unfolding is taking on a familiar and depressing look............. The life of a Miller eh? Time will tell.

we have to give it time

remember nearly a new team and new of playing they will need time to gel and to be honest i am still not convinced of camp in preseason or the performance so far

he gifted wolves first goal

maybe we should play 3 5 2 with 3 centre backs

ball broady and thorpe

with a fast left back playing as a left wing back

Warnock knew what it would take for a club on limited resources to stay in this division. A solid, uncompromising defence. A midfield that would work tirelessly to harry and close down the opposition, giving them no time or space to play football. Never waste a set piece, be it a corner, free kick or throw in, make sure it gets into the box and finds a red shirt! If you can't win, don't lose and give some of the big boys a bloody nose along the way.

Unfortunately, Stubbs is falling in to the same trap as Redfearn, thinking that we can match sides who can spend £50m on their squads by playing it on the floor and trying to pass our way into the eighteen yard box and for 20 minutes of the season it seamed to work. Unfortunately, these players are not good enough to keep up that standard for ninety minutes, let alone a whole season. Unless Stubbs has a change of heart we will be down with the Christmas trimmings.

Good debate this with lots of valid points. Warnock certainly knew how to get the most out of what he had at his disposal in the short term. I suspect he also knew though that it wasn't sustainable over the course of a season and perhaps that had a bearing on his decision not to stay. I do think that you need to keep the ball for spells in this division just to create breathing space and make the opposition work. You can't get by just on hard work and organisation although granted that goes a long way. We do need to take the best of what Warnock showed us, such as graft and spirit, organisation etc but also needed to add a sprinkling of quality that was desperately missing last season. Hopefully AS can get the balance right. We are still short in some positions and we all know where they are, but we do have more pace, athleticism and ability in the squad even if it hasn't yet translated into the performances and results we are all hoping for.

The biggest problem this streak introduces is a losing mentality and a loss of confidence. Whilst we just think we can win the next n games because the opposition is lesser quality; we have to also factor in that we have now thrown away a two goal lead and then been hammered 3-0 in successive matches, with a loss to a L2 side also in the mix. The panicky passing last night when we tried to play the ball on the ground from our keeper showed players who didn't want the ball and looked uncomfortable with it. At times it made me feel nervous just watching them!
