Seems we have got Scott Allen on a years loan from Celtic .Ex Hibs so AS should know him well.It seems to me that we have got some decent players coming in so it maybe bodes well for the future.

Apparently when at Hibs, we put a bid in for him for £375,000 that was turned down according to Wilkipedia

Cool, so with him and Wilson, a couple of strikers needed (even one for now) and we are starting to look like we have a squad...

From what I can see in those clips he has outstanding ,and I mean outstanding ability. Infact , I'd say he looks like he has some very rare technical ability.

I think stubbs will want to get this guy as a permanent feature in the starting 11 , and sit him above a deep holding and box to box midfielders that we have already in the team in terms of halford-small wood.

This one signing really gives significant shape to the team and it will be up to the likes forster-caskey and valuks to press for a place around him. If he can maintain form he could be pivotal to stubbs thinking.

The team is looking like a very possession based team.

We could get absolutely murdered in the championship or maybe this will bring us into the same styles that the likes of Brentford have tried to adopt.

Now where's the spine?

i think we are going to see something different style to what we have been used to at nys under the previous management teams

i watched the sunderland match online and liked what i saw from us friendly yes but at last we are playing it from the back

Kelvin Wilson is big and strong but is a footballing centre back - perhaps prone to the odd mistake but very good on the ball, a bit like Arnie. If as reported we are adding Allan and Taylor we are adding more pace and craft to the squad. Likewise Ryan McLaughlin subject to his fitness. With Vaulks and Forster-Caskey as well, and looking at the way we played in pre season games, it is clear to see a pattern in the type of player Stubbs likes and the sort of football he is aiming to play. Add a couple of good strikers to the mix and it is starting to look very promising.

If we can get in quality strikers we could have a chance of middling this league. It's imperative we have someone who can bang in a few goals - DW is never going to be a 20 a season man, and young Jerry is untried (though a prospect for sure). If we haven't splashed the cash as yet then we should lump all we have on a couple of top strikers. It's better to run with a bit of debt and remain in this this league (for its £ benefits) than run a too tight ship and drop down.
