He wouldn't be in the job if he was. If we take Warnock, he did nothing special other than getting the lads enjoying their work, that goes an awful long way as we've seen. Yes Ok he had a few tactical differences, and I think that worries me the most. AS seems to favour playing football, which is all well and good, but he's going to discover very quickly we can't compete doing that, if he doesn't learn quickly he'll be gone by Xmas. Dragging teams down to our level and making a fight of it is what we can do, and gives us half a chance

dont forget...i think its getting missed, stubbs was known for shutting up shop more than playing football...his goals for over the 2 seasons in Scotland compare poorly to others around them. This is a manager that does not take too many risks and may be over cautious...he clearly sees himself on a steep tactical learning curve...
it could be a disaster for us
it could be the championship suits him.

He said we are trying hard, been close a couple of times, still working on it, could get 10 players in tomorrow but wants the right ones, he is as frustrated as anyone. Some of that related to strikers some was general transfer talk - it was hard to pick apart.
