Rotherham United look set to complete the signing of Kelvin Wilson, according to Alan Nixon on Twitter.
The 30-year-old former Celtic defender is set to sign for Alan Stubbs in what would be a welcome signing for the Millers with kick off for the new season only a few days away.
Rotherham have had a torrid summer in the transfer market, adding minimal players to a squad which was decimated at the end of last season with contracts and loan seal expiring.
Wilson has been released from his contract with Nottingham Forest, where he made well in excess of 150 appearances over two spells with the club.
The big defender started his career with Notts County, before a short spell at Preston paved the way for a move to Nottingham Forest where he made his name. He joined Neil Lennon at Celtic in 2011 where he spent two years, before making a return to the City Ground.
Rotherham will be keen to add more players to the squad as they prepare for the season to begin this weekend. They pulled off a miracle escape last season under Neil Warnock, with new manager Alan Stubbs now looking to continue that momentum.

5 central defenders (Broadfoot, Wood, Belaid, Thorpe, Wilson). Just what we need!
One striker (Ward) who's injury prone and anything but prolific.
Not difficult to see where the priorities lie Mr Stubbs.
Soon be Satdi!
