Of course ! Suggested we take a look how much he'd cost us about a month ago when we were talking of spending big on gregory n bradshaw.
Why not look at zach clough at bolton too - hes a better bet than gregory imo.
I have been against the idea in the past because we had other experienced strikers on the books (albeit not as good as him) and it was based purely on sentimentality. But at the moment we have three young strikers (inc Danny Ward) who need to learn the art of scoring goals, and one of them (JCH) is out anyway. We need a couple of strikers in as a priority and perhaps we need one of them to be an older hand. If not Alfie then someone like him. I think he was mostly played as the one up front by Wolves (certainly he was when they came to NYS) which isn't his game. If as looks likely from the evidence of pre season and how Hibs played we are going to play 442, I wouldn't be against getting him in if it was possible (wages the obvious stumbling block). Not because he was a hero from past days, but simply because he is a goalscorer with a proven record at this level and he would add something to the mix that we haven't got at the moment.
