Doing the rounds on Twitter we're supposedly interested in taking him on loan, bagged 20 goals in 40 apps for Coventry last season. Think he'd be a good signing?
Decent shout for Armstrong. Unfortunately he's not too far off making the Newcastle squad, besides I doubt whether NUFC would actually loan him to another Championship club. Also doing the rounds ( not on twitter ) is Warburton at Rangers is interested in signing him on loan.
Let's hope I'm wrong and we sign this promising young lad.

Tiger, i think he may have chance at NUFC, Benitez will have been asked to trim the budget, and this lad can score, 1 in 2 is some return at Coventry last season. he would walk straight in our team with them stats.
As for newcastle letting him out, well, they could in theory do the same as what Brighton have done with FC.
There is a good connection between NUFC and ourselves in recent years, what with Vukic and Tavernier doing so well with us a couple of years back.
Fingers crossed on this one, as emergency loans are no longer allowed, so we need to get the squad in good order before 6th August.
I thought we should have got him in before he went to Coventry.
Theres a few gems in PL if we can get a couple in on loan.
