VAULKS ACCEPTS CONTRACT EXTENSION

The Club are delighted to announce that Will Vaulks has signed an extension to his contract which ties him to Falkirk FC until May of 2017.

The player told the Official Website, “I’m really enjoying my football here and I am happy to sign on for another term.”

“The Club are on a high at the moment and I am pleased to be a part of that.”

Head Coach Peter Houston added, “It’s tremendous news for Will has been one of the mainstays of the side in recent times. To get a player of his calibre to commit himself for another two years is an excellent piece of business by the Club.”

If he signed for another 2 years that must mean that he signed the contract extension 1 year ago.

The piece quoted by HM comes up prominently on a google search of Falkirk/Vaulks and isn't easy to date, but on closer inspection that looks like old news and nothing that would prevent us buying him now. Whether that happens or not we will have to wait and see, but we can all expect it to because Worcester has as good as promised it! I would imagine that Stbbs knows the player well as he was at Tranmere while Stubbs was at Everton and then at Falkirk while Stubbs was at Hibs.

Out of all the games i saw in Scotland last week, Will Vaulks was the main stand out player for me.

I know it's a different level and everything, and you can't judge on a single Scottish pre season game, but from what i've read from Falkirk fans, he is a class act.

I saw him score 2 goals in Falkirk's 4-2 win at Albion Rovers, both goals were low hard hit shots from just outside the box and playing in centre midfield he was involved throughout the game, great passer and runner with the ball and bags of energy.

I was delighted when i heard we were linked with him the other day and i'm really looking forward to seeing what he can offer us.

That's the kiss of death for the poor lad then. biggrinbiggrin

When you get to Newcastle there's still a ways to go before Scotland. Although Newton did have a loan spell with St. Mirren.

Are you thinking of Tidser?

No..........Newton, he had a season long loan with St Mirren, scored the winner in a Cup Final & was regarded as the dogs *******s up there, as indeed was Tidser. Third time lucky perhaps? Let's hope so!!!

I always rated Newton to be honest. Is he still at Cambridge?

I only remembering him playing a couple of times so it's hard to say but my impression was he was far too slow...tidser seemed a better player to me.

And yet he was the first signing towards the end of the promotion season ready for the first season in the Championship, and loudly trumpeted as an outstanding player by Evans. he played him a couple of times then he was off the radar someone didn't do their homework me thinks.
