If you sign league 1 players that is where you will end up.
Lee Gregory couldn't cut it in the championship - he scored 9 goals in 41 games including 3 in the second to last game. He had therefore scored 6 in 39 games. To put that into context, Derbyshire scored 10 in about 37 games. Gregory drops down a division and starts scoring for fun.
There is a massive gulf between the Championship and League 1. We saw that with Agard.
We could well see it with Bradshaw.
I'm certainly not too concerned that we missed out on Bradshaw and i'm over the moon that we missed out on Gregory. The signings will come and get the impression that they will be good signings.
Barnsley will find out how tough the championship is, and if Bradshaw turns out to be another Agard then they have every chance of getting relegated.
I appreciate your point oneaday, but the inference in your post is that these 'targets' were not good enough in the first instance. So why have we spent these last few weeks chasing lame ducks and bragging about how much we've offered.
