I would be...JUST.

But the following must be taken into consideration.

We are just about to embark on our 3rd season, and with record season ticket sales, surely its the time to show we mean business, and we are better than finishing 4th bottom every season.

Its TS time to gamble, rather than spreading the cash thinly across several different players, he must spend big and sign players that will make the difference in what ever department they play.

We need to score goals and we cannot take Danny Wards hat-trick on Saturday as an indicator to the up and coming season.

As i have said before and its Bill Shankly who must take the plaudits but is this rings so true even now.

Have a good GK, CB, CM,CF (i.e Spine) that forms the team, the rest will follow.

I would say yes, the league appears even more tough this time round, we have a new coach & should have half of a new squad. The only way for progression is to have a sound base, and we'll still suffer from last season for another 6-8 months. 4th bottom will be fine, refine the squad again next summer (hopefully AS will still be in a job!) and the platform then begins.

Absolutely not.

The idea of just scraping through is not a plan.
Its a plan for disaster.

If that were actually the case then it would suggest strongly that we can never expect to be able to look at the team and think we can do ok. After 3 seasons that would be a failure and guaranteed relegation as planning to just scrape by is quite a precise target to pull off.

No, absolutely not. What's the point of aiming so low. We might has well be a successful league one outfit.

The ratio of games won to games list has to improve, particularly at home.

Fans will get fed up of watching losing games and attendances will drop.

Financially though 4th from bottom is a relative success.

Depends what time of the year it is!

At the start of the season ........... NO : We have a new manager building a relatively new squad, new signings, new playing style, Ward, Newell and JCH another year older and hopefully, will continue to progress under Mr Stubbs.

Halfway through the year.............STILL NO : We can continue to build, strengthen in January if needed, put a "Warnock type" run together, move into mid-table, still a lot to play for and with.

Last week of the season...............100% YES : Survival at any cost.

No, sheet or bust year I think. We need to improve or go down and have a few good years in one.

I disagree, going down is never a good option.  We tend to fall further when we go down so L2 is a real possibility in that case.  We need to stay in Championship by hook or by crook to build and progress.
